Code insert default syntax highlighting

This may seem like a trivial request, but who knows - maybe it's also a trivial change? :)

Currently, the Code insert function defaults to HTML for syntax highlighting. I'm pretty sure nobody on these forums ever actually posts HTML code via the Code insert. So the current default setting is actually wrong for the maximum possible number of users (i.e. everyone). Maybe instead, it could be changed to something that people actually use? Such as "No Syntax Highlighting" (for hand.formatted ascii text, like config file snippets) or "C Languages" (for the plugin coders). I would prefer the former, since that's what I use almost exclusively - and also encounter almost exclusively in other people's posts.

Would that be possible?

Installing additional plugins is non-trivial in our particular situation. That code snippet plugin looks interesting but doesn't seem to have a documented way to adjust the defaults other than the nuclear option of removing the other options (not that that would necessarily be bad for this forum, the amount of non-C# code shared is likely trivial).
