An alternate craft! Bulldozer kinda thing with a skycrane. Utterly impractical, silly and slow, it's not even trying.

Time 5:24 - 25(Backpack) = 4:59

Craft name  - Let's say "Bulldozer + skycrane"

I might just take a try at this, perhaps with one of my lighter single-main-rotor helis.

Quick question: Do we need to actually shoot the VTOL per se, or just destroy it somehow. EG: Can I, say, attach a lance to my heli and spear/flip it off the building?

@EpicSpaceTroll139 The idea is to somehow disable it without damaging your own craft. So if your lance is really strong, then yes. 

@qzgy make that 4:39! That bulldozer was incredibly entertaining.  Thinking about it, I'd love to see you bulldoze the VTOL off the top of the VAB in hard mode...

If you just want to see the VTOL being pushed off in a slightly more cinematic manner (and VAB destruction, courtesy to cargo bays and structural parts)
