So i want to create a "fan fiction" series

So i want to jump into the very nicely sized pool of "fan fiction series" that exsists on this fourm. Some of are quite large. With a few of them haveing a large amount of chapters. So i wanna start my own series. However i am fairly new to these fourms ("fairly" new? more like really new) 

So to get to the point: i need some pointers.

Such as:

How to format such storys

How to add to the story

Annnd thats it. In the end i just need some help getting off the ground. And i would apprecate the help peaople post here. Thanks for reading or helping. (or both)
