There's already one with like several hundred people.

What's the purpose of creating a "discord" for KSP when we have the forum? Seriously, I am not trying to insult anyone, just curious is all.

Discord is a instant messaging software like Skype but designed for gamers. As such, it's easier and quicker to respond. Not to mention you can upload files and images directly to it.

Not to mention rules can be more loose depending on who's running it.
