generic module for using EC?

I'm looking for a module that I can co-opt and add to a part so that it is constantly consuming some EC/s. What are my options?

The stock solution would be a ModuleGenerator with a negative EC output:

MODULE
{
  name = ModuleGenerator
  isAlwaysActive = True

  OUTPUT_RESOURCE
  {
    name = ElectricCharge
    rate = -1.0
  }
}

You can also set it to be toggleable by the user if required. Change the "rate" parameter to change the power consumption.

it seems, looking at the module in the wiki, that I could also use INPUT_RESOURCE with a positive value? I'll play around with it
