green mun and ksc flood

Recommended Posts

Hi, here's my installed mods.

My mun is green now, why?

I've also some different altitude(few meters up to 100) floods on the ksc screen when I load a saved game for the first time.
In few words I've sea water into the buildings.

This is the worst case, most of the times, the water reaches only the base of the buildings.

Moon doesn't look green to me at all in that screenshot. Check your monitor setting or your video card settings if you are seeing green. Maybe even your eyes? :)

The flooded KSC is a known scatterer bug and I'm pretty sure it has been addressed on the last page of that thread. If not, one page back. Just enter a building and exit it and the issue should be resolved.

Always be sure to check the threads of the mods you use. You may find the answers you were looking for there

ah ok, entering/leaving a building solve the problem without to reload the saved game. thanks!

I know I have to check the threads of the mods I use, but first, this time,
I didn't know which one of these mods cause the flood and green mun.
Now, thanks to you, I know the mod scatterer causes the flood.
Secondarily I've already tried to search about the words "flood" and "green mun",
so or I find hundreds of results or nothing relevant, then as you can see from my poor english that isn't my mother language,
so please be patient, it's hard for me to read/translate and understand what I'm reading.

about green mun, I'm sure I'm not color blind or similar.
with no mods I've always seen the normal grey mun, so before I go to touch some settings,
excuse me but neither this video you see textures greenage?
I do even see purple shades/nuances.

I've tried to watch it on 3 different pc monitors...

For me the mun is also just gray as always haha. Weird situation you got there. :)

Maybe something weird with the output your videocard gives. Try to update your drivers to the last one or a complete reinstall of the drivers.

I'm not sure if I've installed it well, I've just replaced the files into the game folder, nothing else.
anyway I'm still having purple/green issue.

edit: I've just opened the file NewMunSurfaceMapDiffuse.dds that comes with SVT.v2.0.4.zip you've provided. and I see green/purple.

Shouldn't be. The texture is literally black and white now. Remove SVT and do a fresh install of the mod.

I removed svt with ckan, deleted svt folder manually.
copied the new folder.
but if I see green in that file in windows, is useless that I start the game to check, or not?

look pls:

The image into the zip file:

The same file I've greyscaled and I'm gonna try to use it, ah! no...I cant save in dds.

The version on CKAN will probably not be right. You need to try and install the link I sent you manually. The link I sent you includes an updated mun texture. No green or purple. I saw what you are talking about and fixed it.

I did it!
uninstalled all the mods with ckan, removed manually all the folders in gamedata, copied Kopernicus-1.2.2-5 and the SVT.v2.0.4, now I've only this single mod, but still get green.

If I can say it again, that image isn't greyscaled, it's DXT1, 16Mcolors, 588 unique colors, 21.33 MB (22.369.768 Bytes).

Not greyscaled like in photoshop. If you are still seeing, you may not be using the correct file.

 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grayscale

greyscaled, as in black and white and shades of grey.

excuse me, maybe I'm too much stoned, but can't understand.

This zip file, you provided as new and different from that one downloaded from CKAN:
https://github.com/Galileo88/Stock-Visual-Terrain/releases/tag/2.0.4

Contains a folder called "SVT_Textures", inside this folder there are textures images.
Which one of these files should be the one that I see on the mun?
There's no many choices: only "NewMunSurfaceMapDiffuse.dds".

I open this file and no matter greyscaled, photoshop, black and white, whatever... I see green.

If it may help try to reinstall/update your video card drivers and DirectX/OpenGL. It could be the graphic settings that are messed up?

excuse me if I revive this dead thread, I think is better instead of to create a new one only for this:

I've recently ran into this video:

...and I was still wondering if I am the only one who see green textures, I tried to play it on 4 different computer systems, so I think it's green for real.
anyway: do you see greenage surface?

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
