How to stop whiplashes from overheating

Recommended Posts

I am working on building my first spaceplane, and I am using the whiplashes,as that is the best engine available at my tech level. However, when I get to about 10 km and 1100 m/s, the engines overheat and flame out. How can I stop this from happening? I am already using precoolers.

preecooler are simple airintyakes that also hold fuel, they have no particular effect in heat managment.

you are just going to fast too low, change your flight profileto climb more before the speed run. A good flight profile it's essencial for a spaceplanes, since I also had problems figuring it out so I asked tthis question:

maybe the answer would help you as helped me.
