regarding planes ...

Recommended Posts

  1. in IVA move the view up/down and left/right - in some cockpits I only see instruments, the windows are so high that I can't see the runway at all on approach
  2. ILS and a real plane navigation -  to fly by eye (and that from 3rd person view, see 1.) is not funny at all
  3. and also REAL flaps that allow me to fly slower, actually they only work as an alternative to spoilers
  4. and ofc all infos visible in IVA, no more windows open to see important values like pitch, roll or engine core temps
  5. and finally a runway should not have any bumps in it anymore that makes the plane hop and then completeley destroy the runway when touching it again

Most of this can be improved with mods.  Unfortunately Squad has shown absolutely zero interest in improving IVA.  You are going to have to settle for RasterPropMonitor and NavUtilities to deal with 2 and 4.  For 3, you have to use FAR.  Squad already removed the bumpy runway, so 5 is done and 1 is not likely to change but you can double click the Window or if you have track IR, lean forward.

I use FAR. People tell me that I use too many mods, but it's just the core of dependencies of RSS / RO / RP-0 plus some suggested mods.

Using FAR I checked a dozen of plane designs and all of them are not capable of flying slower with flaps.
Here is a good explanation why:

Neither of those threads has anything to do with FARFAR does allow flaps to create additional lift if you use them properly.

Perhaps. But not to become fussy, it's about aerodynamics.
FAR analysis doesn't show me "with flaps to set 2 you can take off with Mach 0.28 instead of 0.34" - there is no difference in the coloring of the values.
Green on all values is shown at the same minimum speed with two digits after the dot - no matter if flaps or not.

For me it's mostly at Mach 0.34,  with small jets as well as with huge ones.

I just tried out AirplanePlus, but that's also not perfect.

It's meant for stock. And the flaps are not recognized as flaps by FAR.
