I'm back

So I've returned to playing this wonderful game, but I got a little rusty with my already bad piloting skills and killed Valentina on my first minmus landing....

Now, should I continue my career mode? I'm currently indecisive, probably what happens when you take too long a break

Try returning, relearning your skills in sandbox, then go for career.

Welcome back! I agree with @cratercracker. Sandbox is a good way to get back into the game.

I say do whatever makes you happy.

I did the same sort of thing (like I always do) come back and start a Career then find myself clicking on my Sandbox save every time.

Well, my lander toppled over and this dino turned off quicksave......so I accidentally fired the engine at max and Valentina slid to oblivion. I guess she had no luck that entire save, her last mission was to the Mun and she got stranded in orbit, probably thanks to the Kraken, had to send a rescue mission...

I guess that would work, but I have little time to play this game.... I guess I could try flying probes in my career, I have over 1 million funds

At what difficulty settings are you playing?  If it's 'normal' than you can expect Valentina to respawn in the Astronaut complex in two days or so.  Just look it up in your difficulty settings if it's the case for you.

I went for custom difficulty, I turned Kerbal respawn off. But I've heard that Jeb in immortal and he will respawn no matter what. Does that apply to Valentina too?

Meanwhile I've started another save and I'm trying to build a space station. I can do orbital rendezvous but docking I have not tried yet.

I really wouldn't know   It's the first time I've heard of Jeb being immortal, but then again, I'm not playing KSP very long to know this, maybe someone else can answer that one?
