I was the first man to break Mach 1, and i did it with an alchohol/LOX rocket engine on the back of a little plane. I called it the Glamorous Glennis.

In another life, when I was heavily involved in flightsim, I made a scenery file of Pancho Barnes' Happy Bottom Riding Club.  You can still find it on a few flightsim sites.  I have long been fascinated by Pancho and anything about Edwards Air Force base and the high speed flight research programmes.
