Stuck on loading screen

Recommended Posts

Ksp 1.2.2, modded install (mods shouldn't affect this problem)

Note that this has only happened twice so far. Sometimes my game gets stuck on the black loading screen, the one with circles orbiting in the bottom right. It doesn't crash, just gets stuck, so I don't think there is a crash log of any kind to post. I'm running 64-bit. I think both times I was reverting to the SPH or reloading a quicksave. Any ideas?

Sorry if there is something obvious I'm missing

Edit: Both times I think I reloaded after a crash, where a kerbals died

Not at all true, tons of mods do stuff in the loading screen. I've asked for this to be moved to the Modded Support section. Read the thread linked below and provide what it requests.

[MOD - Moved to Technical Support (PC, modded installs) subforums]

When you get stuck on the loading screen, what does the text in the progress bar say?

Sorry, I should have been more clear, I mean the fully black loading screen, with the circles orbiting in the bottom right. Like the one you see when launching a rocket. Normally it is quite quick.

The only sure way to find out what's causing this problem is to perform a linear search of your mods:

 - Temporarily remove all of your mods

 - Make sure you can load the game to the main menu without mods

 - Add a few mods back

 - Check to see if you can load the game properly

 - Repeat until you get stuck on the loading screen again, and so the mod you just put back would be the culprit
