[1.7.x ~ 1.3.x] Community Trait Icons - icon library for kerbal crew types [ v1.1.1 @ 2019-04-10 ]

IndicatorLights has just added integration -- it doesn't use icons, but will utilize the same color-coding for crew types as the other Community Trait Icons supported mods.
On crewable modules, Indicator Lights provides color-coded LEDs to show what types of crew are on board:

Most mods that are 1.5 compatible will work in 1.6. There have been no reports that it wont work in 1.6 so I think it safe to assume it will work. I say go ahead and try it. (I have 1.6 downloaded, but am still waiting a few more mods updates before I start it. I am still doing my career save in 1.5.1)

You will soon be able to add Kerbal Construction Time to the list of mods which uses this.

I was wondering if this can be modified to also provide an icon of the kerbal in his/her spacesuit, similar to what you see when you go into the  Astronaut complex, or if there is another one which already does that?

Cool, let me know when.

edit: nevermind, misunderstood

Cetera's Suit Pack did this, but it already "hardcoded" its own icons/colors in its replacement textures for the kerbal models.

So rather than getting the icons/colors from CTI, it instead had to modified CTI's config to point to its own icons and colors. This results in all CTI downstream mods follow the suit pack icons/colors.

There are other texture packs that do icon/color coding according to kerbal classes but none that I know of that actually integrate with CTI.

Interesting, but not what I am willing to deal with at this time.  Maybe later.

Thanks

devbuild v1.0.99 available here for the adventurous, since I haven't had the opportunity to test it as thoroughly as I'd like yet.

change list is mostly little tweaks to innards.

no impact for downstream mods.

Is there a reason this mod isn't marked 1.9.1-compatible? It works for me. Sorry for reviving.

Because the mod author hadn't gotten around to it.  Like all things with mods, it's done in their leisure time and real life often obstructs.

Thank you for posting that the latest version of Community Trait Icons appears to work in KSP 1.9.1 without issue.

For more information on how complex KSP version support can be, @Tonka Crash just made an excellent post on the Community Category Kit discussion topic.
