Borrowing a little bit from the looks of the Sikorsky MH-60, the KM-60 is the culmination of hours of trial and error and hours of taking apart other people's helicopters! Able to lift a total of about 60 tons. She uses 4 panther blowers to spin the 4 bladed rotor and a single panther with full gimbal enabled to counter the torque-spin and to help with unwanted roll at speed. Limited to about 40-50 m/s  she isn't too quick but is user friendly.

Controls:

1. Release Turboshaft

2. Toggle Main Engine

3. Toggle Wet Mode (lift off)

4. Toggle counter-steer engine

 That's how we do!

See, they suck you in with cool space stuff, but then you're trapped.  The attraction to build All The Things is just too great.

Agreed. It becomes frustrating after alittle bit, I still have a coax engine I need to finish off.

Also, your rep (at the time of writing) is... suspicious.

That's a smooth riding machine man! I took it for a spin.....

Got a nice shot with the Mountains in the background

Ran it out of fuel and got up to an altitude of 5300m...ish

With some skills, landed without Rotor Power and very minor damage

So glad you like it! It's weird seeing other people drive my crafts! It's like seeing your own car being driven away haha! I tried to auto rotate from 2,000m but I crashed with maximum damage :D I predicted, but never posted, that this Copter had about 25-30 mins of fuel on full throttle. It seems I was about right!

There will be more copters in the future!

Solved that! Wouldn't want any more kraken attacks than we have now.

I think you could get significantly more lifting power from this whirlybird by adjusting the 4 panther blowers to impinge on just the very edge of the turbine wheel. You can get an idea of their thrust lines by clipping communitron 16s into them. They only need to have the line hitting the wheel to impart all of the thrust, and the closer to the edge, the more torque you'll get. I'd guess you could get... Ehh... 20-30% more torque with adjustments. Which means either better payload, or you could ditch one of the blowers for greater fuel efficiency.

Great work though! I need to fly it!
