List of Ideas For New Features.

Thought I'd share with you guys some of my ideas for new features for KSP. And as you can see, I've got a lot of 'em. I know some of them may be or are already established in mods, but regardless, I would love to see these in future patches.

Features

- Orbital Colonies

- Generation Ships (Long-distance starships operated by the fully awake crew members and their descendants)

- Sleeper Ships (Long-distance starships where the crew is kept in cryogenic stasis)

- Zero-gravity construction

- Advanced EVA exoskeletons

- Orbital Elevators

- Military Ships

- Satellite Lasers

- Munar Rovers

- Munbases

- Asteroid Mining

- Deep space travel

- Rare alien artifacts that give access to advanced and unique parts

- Solar Sails

- FTL Travel

- "Piggyback" takeoffs (Spaceplanes that lift off from the back of regular airplanes)

Scenery

- If Kerbonauts safely land on Kerbin, but are too far away from the space center or any cities, they will set up a small makeshift campsite

- Alien ruins on Mun and other planets (Like the infamous Cydonia Mensae, better known as the "Face of Mars")

- Flag of Kerbin on the site of the first successful Mun landing

- Gravesites for Kerbonauts KIA

Spacecraft/Space Station parts

- Colony Module

- Rec Module

- Probe Launcher

- Lab Module

- Gym Module

- Forge Module

- Observatory

- Satellite Launcher

- Communications Array

- Tourist Module

- Heat Shield

- Inflatable Landing Gear

- Laser

- Fuel Synthesizer (Slowly replenishes fuel)

- Arboretum

Space Center:

- Research and Development (Makes new tech)

- Training Center

Easter Eggs:

- UFOs

- Ghost Ships (Green, glowing transparent versions of ships that have crashed)

- Alien ruins on planets

- Sometimes, if a Crewmember dies onboard a ship, a Bagpipe rendition of "Amazing Grace" will be heard

Hi Zed, from a Z to another, welcome to the forums! This said, maybe take a look around before posting, as most of these features have been either (a) suggested time and time again before or (B) are specifically in the "DO NOT SUGGEST" list. I'm not one to freak out about it, but some forum members are really testy (I guess because it keeps happening a lot).

This would also belong in the Development->Suggestions thread. Where you will see sticky posts indicating rules for suggesting stuff.

you really should look around the forums before you post something like this, there are many mods/plugins out there which already have the function of some of those features

Features

- Generation Ships (Long-distance starships operated by the fully awake crew members and their descendants) - not really much point since we only have the mun and minimus

- Sleeper Ships (Long-distance starships where the crew is kept in cryogenic stasis) - not really much point since we only have the mun and minimus

- Zero-gravity construction - Orbital Constuciton Mod

- Advanced EVA exoskeletons

- Orbital Elevators - this is impossible to mod, but perhaps maybe in a future update

- Military Ships - you can fit guns and missiles to ships.

- Satellite Lasers - been made, go search the forums

- Munar Rovers - been made, go search the forums

- Munbases - there are plenty of parts you can use to make your own

- Asteroid Mining - try the kethane mod

- Deep space travel - no planets to travel to yet

- Rare alien artifacts that give access to advanced and unique parts - doubt it will ever happen

- Solar Sails - most probably already created, if not you can use an ion engine

- FTL Travel - whats the point, you might as well just use the insta orbit to get into different planets orbits

- "Piggyback" takeoffs (Spaceplanes that lift off from the back of regular airplanes) - you can do this.....if your skilled enough

Spacecraft/Space Station parts

- Colony Module - made to some degree, go find it

- Rec Module - made to some degree, go find it

- Probe Launcher - several are avalible

- Lab Module - made to some degree, go find it

- Gym Module - would serve no purpose

- Forge Module - would serve no purpose

- Observatory - would serve no purpose

- Satellite Launcher - same as probe launcher

- Communications Array - already made, go find it

- Tourist Module - would serve no purpose

- Heat Shield - not implimented yet

- Inflatable Landing Gear - already made, go find it

- Laser - already made

- Fuel Synthesizer (Slowly replenishes fuel) - already made, go find it

- Arboretum - would serve no purpose

Space Center:

- Research and Development (Makes new tech) - future update...maybe

- Training Center - would serve no purpose

Easter Eggs:
