Challenge- Least parts/cost to orbit and land

Your mission should you be bored enough to do it, create a spacecraft capable of orbit and land back to KSP

You must make a ship with the least amount of cost/parts.

You must post screen shot of your ship in VAB. Then a image of your spacecraft in orbit. Then a picture of your flightlog.

You will be scored on the least amount of parts and cost.

You will be scored on the following way. Each ship part has a negative score based on cost. Get the closet positive score to win.

-Allowed resources:

stock parts, c7 studio parts.

Bonus points to your ship if:

1 point for attached craft file.

2 point if your ship is always in the green G line. (edge of it still counts)

3 points if you dont use a SAS.

2 points if your speed reaches more than 3000 mps

1 point if your orbit is higher than 70km

3 points for a vertial landing.

5 points for landing without a parachute or landing gear.

2 points for more than 9 boosters.

2 points for less than 9 stages.

I just can\'t see the G line happening if your speed is in excess of 3000 m/s...

its a bonus point score system. If you go the safe route, you get 2 points. if you want to go the hard route (more than 3000m/s) then you get 2 points.

Well I\'ve orbited a ship with 4 fuel tanks and one engine. Even managed to get the kosmonauts on the ground alive with a powered \'landing\'.

Oh. Well in that case I am beaten! Now I don\'t have to admit defeat.

Leaning towards a design like this:

. Landing will effectively be vertical, no SAS is used, periapsis can be brought above 70 km, and it has less than 9 stages. That should give -5062 points. In principle, one could drop the parachute and a tank by adding 2 fins, but even with the powered landing bonus this only comes to -5080 points. I suppose if anyone manages to pull an orbit with 2 tanks and/or a powered landing with no fins...?

No screenshots of the flight because this is not yet an official entry. I\'ll have to practice landing near KSC. >_>

Well here\'s my entry - 3 Tanks, one engine, no decoupler or chute - costs 2500

Took it into a 235 by 70 orbit, then returned and landed the capsule safely

well i kinda said to land back on to ksp (meaning the space center) not kearth. Though this is the best entry ever.

Well in theory I could do it, I\'ve demonstrated this design has the necessary delta-v but I don\'t have the patience.
