Minimus all out!

No pictures at this time. The nice and friendly ex-monopolist telecommunications company suffered during the heavy rainfalls these past two days, so they didn't finish the repairs on the landlines...

(actually, no phone landlines around here anymore, contrary to popular believe. We put 'em underground about 40 years ago. And YES, I was alive at that time...)

But back to the mission:

After successful testing of the Falcon MK II on Mun (no casualties is a success! And no rescue mission needed is a welcome suprise...) the Harriman Space Exploration put another mission together!

The bland details:

A revised Falcon MK II with an improved rover is put in front of a Pollux MK II (much tested and still in use!) with a (still to be tested) orbital habitat in between.

Because the Pollux MK II can pull much more than is needed for that mission, two planetary satelites of new design are added (model Lazarus MK II), as well as two orbital small tugs (model Bug MK I with added docking ports).

The crew consists of our three trusted and most worthy astronauts Jeb (Commander), Bill (Copilot) and Bob Kerman (Astrogation), in addition we have Mac Kerman on board to steer the Pollux, as well as Zorro Kerman, our newbie, to pilot the "Bugs" and last but not least our a little fridgend Feagle Kerman as scientist aboard the to be placed orbital habitat and science station as well as refuelling center.

The assembly of the mission progressed without incident, much to the suprise of everyone...

The Burst from Kerbin Orbit of 122 km worked well and took 7 minutes. Mun orbit was passed after 6:35.

A minor course correction on route put the planned perigee at 100km above our second moon and we are now on the way to explore Minimus!

So far, all parts are attached to the vessel, the expected shaking of the two "Bugs" on the Pollux' docking ports was not noticable and nothing fell off...

We are still waiting for high-res pictures to come in, so be patient....

So... No casualties, no incidents... A science station in orbit, two satelites mapping Minimus... But didn't find the anomaly.

The mapsats did, but there is something wierd happening with the coordinates on that moon...
