You run to the next floor.

1407: You find a strange card that says "good for 1 avoidance of planet destruction. You take it, thinking it might be useful. You proceed.

1408: A bus runs over the stairwell exit just before you go through it. You jump back, luckily unscathed. As you emerge into the featureless void, you note two objects: a stairwell going up, and an errant bus, screeching to a halt beside you. The bus doors open.
You take the stairs.

1409: A strange device rests in the center of the room. It appears to be a weapon of some kind. A warning is written on the walls: Danger ahead. You take the weapon and ascend the stairwell.

1410: You see a giant moon-sized mega weapon almost done charging, pointed at an Earth-like planet. You show them the card you got 3 floors back. They take it, and back off, going to what appears to be a forest moon. Thinking you've seen this somewhere before, you continue to ascend the stairwell.

1411: You see another planet destroyer, aimed at Earth. You just run up the stairs.

1412: You see yet another planet destroyer, and a man standing next to the console shrugs. "Eh," he says. "We're really running out of ideas."

You hurry up to the next floor and wonder if you'll get out of here alive.

1413: Finally, you are at the penthouse. You stand at the edge, taking in the dizzying height below you. You take a breath, and your life flashes before your eyes as you jump into the abyss below.

You suddenly are caught by the tractor beam of floor 1414. An ominous message of "there is no escape" is written on the walls in blood.

A haunting voice of "THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES!" cuts through the silence. You arrive at 1416, an exact copy of your bedroom. You stay the night, and then ascend.

1417: You see a strange and trippy fight happening. All you can make out is a child running around in a striped shirt in the midst of what looks to be the fourth dimensional rainbow. Fearing for your sanity, you run to the stairs.

1420: This room is full of mountain dew, doritos and gaming rigs. You wonder who lives here- oh, wait a moment, was that a gremlin running past you?

Floor 25 a mechanical room with Air handlers and elevator motors. You search around for a way to the 26 floor, there is a pipe chase with a make-shift ladder, you climb up and find a close panel to the next floor. Time to start kicking.

Uh, floor 1422: You see many people on computers, playing some kind of game where they invent new floors on a fictional building.

Floor 1422.5: You realize that you may be in a simulation. You break the window and jump out. You fall for 7 minutes. When you hit the ground, you wake up on floor 1423, which appears to be some sort of human life energy harvester. Scared for your life (for the 1000th time) you continue.

Floor 1423.5: You have a fleeting thought that maybe it would be better to go down instead of up. You shun logic and proceed up the stairwell.

Floor 1424: The room is well-illuminated, but it and everything in it is coated in a substance so black you cannot see the edges of the room or of anything in it, as they absorb over 99.999% of visible light. You stumble your way through the room as if you had been flash-blinded and make your way up the stairs to the next floor.

1425: This room has a gigantic aquarium in the middle of it, leaving only little space between itself and the walls. You feel an urge to tap the glass of the aquarium, but are reminded that you don't know what will tap back and how hard.

Floor XXXX: You don't know how you got here. You have a feeling that this floor is not well programed. The gravity is inconsistent and weak. The black and white tile pattern makes you feel strangely uncomfortable. You see a lonely desk. There is a picture on it. It shows some children and an oddly familiar person. Under it, there are words that spell "Never forget." You proceed in the direction you came, only to find the stairwell has moved itself. You hear a clanking noise in the distance. Scared, you run into a wall. On the other side, you see a giant man typing on a keyboard as tall as you are. You scream. He screams. You look behind you to see that it is some sort of message board or forums with other people messaging as well. Suddenly you wake up, remembering that you fell asleep on the way to floor 1426. You proceed, thinking about how clear your dream was, forgetting it by the second.

After the strange experience on the previous floor, you notice an old woman baking cookies. You have a nice conversation, and eat some cookies. You leave quickly. She was nice enough, she even reminded you of your grandmother, but you can't shake the feeling from when she turned around, revealing deep pits instead of eyes. You close your eyes, and head to the floor 1428.
