New mission from KSPM!

Flight Mission Parameters – KEK01

The mission is for the 39th week of 2013 (ends Saturday 28th 2013)

The idea of this mission is to launch from KSP, flight to Eve, Land at Eve and flight back to KSP round trip mission.

Mission Parameters:

Multi Launch – Ships allowed

Single Ship for entire mission – +100 points

Single ship + plus fuel tank mission – +50 points

if you use single launch for mission, 2nd launch for fuel

3 Kerbals in one ship fly to eve +10 Points

3 Kerbals come back from eve to Kerbal + 50 points

Powered landing at eve – +20 points

Powered landing back at Kerbal – +20 points

Any rondevu – +5 points

KSP LANDING

Landing on heli pad on top of VAB +100

Landing in the green (green circle at launch pad) +50

Landing at KSP large green around KSP komplex +10

If powered landing + 30

Mechjeb usage subtract 10 points

Hm, does the landing have to be manned? Or can ther Kerbals stay in orbit, while a probe lands on Eve?

If the lander must return to orbit, you can strike the single craft off the list. I doubt that's even possible with a manned lander (but by me saying this, SOMEONE will then do it to prove me wrong, I'm certain).

Do you know what an Eve return lander entails and how hard it is just to get one there?

It's a tough one for sure. Your lander has to have a dense fuel load and twice the power it needs at KSP. But it "can" be done.

Yes I do. I know the single launch idea is a long shot but we give points for it should someone be able to do it, or wants to try. That's kind of the beauty of KSPM, these missions have a lot of dynamic pressures to them. You can go the easy way multi-launch or the hard way a single launch! LOL it's a general point system we use, single launch for a mission is always a 100 point plus...

My own system uses 4 - 5 launches because I send fuel ships to Eve as well. I know full well how hard the single ship idea is. thus why we giggled a little when we put that point on there.

But the funny part is, it's probably possible someone with a high-end machine put together some behemoth ship that does it all, personally I'd like to see it.
