Mod that categorises flights in tracking station?

Does this exist?

I get to about 15 flights and start wishing that I had some rudimentary ability to group flights into... well... groups.

For example, grouping comsat rings or the constituent parts of a planetary outpost.

Do you know of anything like this?

You can sort of achieve this. If you go to your vessel and right-click on the command pod, you can change the type of vessel: lander, station, pod, etc. These types can by sorted by using the existing tabs at the top of the tracking center.

Yeah, I'd seen that mod before. I think that's probably my best bet with its search ability.

What I actually want is an additional field adding to the ships in the persistence file that allows me to set their group association.

Basically, you should be able to somehow select multiple ships in the tracking station and 'collapse' them into a group name of your choosing, then be able to expand/view them at your convenience.

I agree. I usually start my new games with satellite constellations, and I find it kinda hard to believe there is no "Satellite" type, yet there is a "Flag" type......They either have to go as Ships or Stations...Which kind of clutters up THOSE two categories...Also makes the craft icons on the map screen almost useless...

Yeah, but you can only choose one at a time, unless I am mistaken....Sometimes I want "Ships" and just "Stations"...Or just "Landers" and "Ships" and "Stations"...

Oh, and it would be nice to have a "Base" category for planetary stations, instead of having to group them in with orbital stations... ...i know you could put a flag at each base, and filter by "Flag", but, eh..seems like a pain and unintuitive..??

I know this is a very old topic but I am surprised that nobody has made a folder/tab like mod to sort out the many many ships. Wishlisted!!

Exactly what I was hoping for! Strange, not a single person can/will do this mod. This really should be in the vanilla game now that it has a proper comm system.
