I am in desperate need of a walkthrough...

I\'ve been loving KSP for a few months now, and before I get into modeling ACTUAL custom parts, I want to try my hand at just modifying the parameters (thrust, strength, ect.) of existing parts. Ergo, 'cheating'. This is just for my enjoyment however, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to even get a part to load in the parts lab, despite reading the read me text included in the SDK file. Can someone please, as if to a 6 year old, tell me how to load a part so I can edit? I\'m frustrated. :(

You don\'t edit parts in Partslab, at this point it basically functions as a way to preview parts without loading up the game (including their video FX trails as if actively thrusting)

To make partslab run, you install its files into the KSP Main folder, so that KSP.exe and Partslab.exe are in the same folder.

To edit part configs, you\'ll be using a normal text editor like notepad to open the CFG files in each part folder.

You\'ll find a lot of config file documentation here: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/~kerbalsp/wiki/index.php?title=CFG_File_Documentation

It is:

ActivatesEvenIfDisconnected = True

Doesn\'t work on all parts, and I actually am not sure which ones it does work on; Parachutes, decouplers, solid boosters for sure, maybe liquid engines too. Not winglets or RCS blocks which require input to activate.
