New release looking spiffy! I'[m still experimenting with different volumetric tex's, these worked quite nicely, although a little bit too transparent. A few tweaks probably need to the texture scale and some obvious atmosphere cut off at high alt but really look great on virtually every front sonic! :D

Would you like the textures now? Also looks like you've got the different layers sorted nicely now anyway, But I couldn't find the cirrus or mid level cloud layers texture's in the alt+n menu :huh: Are you just using the kerbin tex for them?

NB: I suffered a memory crash to desktop twice when testing yesterday, but after removing a 41MB earth-normal map the problem subsided lol, still a sign that we're beginning to get into that territory.

In fairness though, I can't run any graphics mods with B9 aerospace running AND I don't currently have a texture reduction config for boulderCo running :P

Can't use them now, but go ahead and PM me the textures. A layer naming and shuffling system in EVE would be really helpful.

I think that you messed up the mun as it is scary place now, it looks like it has an atmosphere (i know that it has an atmosphere irl but its very very VERY thin)

So, thanks for the editor so i can change it.

But is it possible to make ring around the jool? (like adding a thin, round cloud in low orbit around the jool)?

You, sir(s), have clearly out-awesomed the asteroids. My first view upon loading at the pad had me convinced it was about to rain lol. Extremely glad to see texture replacer is no longer required, it was giving me a game-killing bug with V3 and I was NOT looking forward to troubleshooting (just shooting) it!

Not sure if this is a big, but on both Kerbin and Minmus I get a very crisp, discernible, layer where the upper atmosphere " ends". It's a little visually jarring, is that normal?

oh, and would it be possible to give Minmus some very very tiny but still detectable pressure?

(<ebil> or a really soupy thick atmo for all sorts of flying nonsense gehehehehehehehe </ebil>)

Awesome mod! I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow incorporate red sunsets on Kerbin. I see that you have blue sunsets for Duna, so would it be hard to have red sunsets on Kerbin? With clouds, that would look amazing!

By the way, I love the way Minmus looks.

The mun should be a scary place. Once you go Mun, you never go Bun.

Anyway, I've seen a ring done before, so probably. I'll see what I can do.

God, again!? Your fadedist should be at 100 on the atmo layer. For some people it just seems to screw off and do whatever. So no, that's not normal.

For the second question, yes actually. I'll need to get in touch with the guy making the mod to do stuff like that.

The hard part, is this would require a complete change to the layers as EVE has no layer shuffling system. I'll see what i can do.

2. Or would it be included before the final (leftmost) curly bracket?

Well I tried merging the cfg and I ended up with a black sky. So I did not install RSS folder for the time being.

The clouds are a little low on Kerbin (which is my fault), but it does look pretty cool from the highlands :cool:

Yeah me too, but managed to get the atmosphere to work *kinda* by toying around with the rss config, although it doesn't have a gradient atmosphere anymore just straight blue :/ it's black until hitting 'reset to default'.

Could you just compile the RSS config then distribute that, I'm too simple for this!

I would also download this if there were a simple Config for RSS. :D

It's stunning, so I'm hoping there's an easier way to solve it since RSS takes about 5 mins to load!

The improved city lights alone are worth the download (no RSS cfg required (I think)). They really look great.

RSS and EVE are not a good couple at all. It's really just annoying to work with. until rbray makes a proper RSS optimization patch, it's going to have to wait for another date.

As for now, I'm working on a orangish redish sunset for kerbin. It's going pretty well actually.
