appleman8977
I attempted a moon(mun) landing with the new \'vanilla\' Landing Struts. I finally aproached the moon to land and the Struts didn\'t activate via stage activation. The ship crashed and everyone died. Is there something other than stage activation to lower those things? Too many Kirbals have died this day!
Kryten
You need to press \'g\' to activate the legs. It might be a good idea to look through the controls in the settings menu, there\'s a lot of things there that aren\'t immediately obvious. TwoHedWlf
Yeah, G has been the standard key to lower the landing gear probably since the first flight simulator in something like 1980.
deadshot462
Yep, always test your stages on Kerbin orbit before pushing for the a full mission lol.Very similar to how Apollo crafts were tested in Earth orbit..'Houston, we are 100m from landing on the Moon, we jettisoned the descent stage instead of extending the legs, is that supposed to happen?' 'Houston, we are 100m from landing on the Moon, we jettisoned the descent stage instead of extending the legs, is that supposed to happen?'Meh, close enough, might as well try and land anyway.
