Any way to convert old save games to the new 0.25 format?

Looks like there are differences in the persistent file, I was wondering if anyone knows what the exact changes are and how to take my old 0.24.2 persistent file and make it useful in 0.25?

Just copying the file over does not crash the game, but once you hit the space center screen you're stuck. Can't enter buildings and can't exit to the menu

Hmm. Do you mind posting a save file? I thought it was supposed to carry over, but perhaps the new bits aren't being added correctly for some reason.

btw I don't use steam, so I always keep old copies of KSP, usually just starting over but this time I'd like to carry the stuff I've been working on to 0.25
