Does the CURRENT version work? No. That was compiled against 1.1.3. However, it's possible to recompile it against the 1.2.2 binaries with a few minor changes.  I've done that, and created a spreadsheet tracking what works and what doesn't (at least for me) here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19_dhwSioZODCCtMFD0kZOtbmbg--ryoE0nzoWJL2cRc/edit#gid=0

Feel free to checkout the github page, there's a github issue related directly to 1.2 compatibility here: https://github.com/KSP-RO/RealismOverhaul/issues/1436

Oh, and a reddit discussion here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RealSolarSystem/comments/5o54f0/is_ro_finally_out/

I checked out your spreadsheet for RP-0, and noticed that it lists obsolete github page for Ven's Stock Revamp. I suggest using KSP 1.2 branch of Ven's Stock Revamp by @Kerbas_ad_astra, here: https://github.com/Kerbas-ad-astra/Stock-Revamp/tree/KSP_1.2. Contrary to official Ven's master, it's fully updated (apart from version file) and free of bugs.

I'll update it to this, thanks!

Doesn't @IronCretin's github miss latest commit made by @Kerbas_ad_astra? See here: https://github.com/Kerbas-ad-astra/Stock-Revamp/network

Ahh, I was looking at Ven's network (https://github.com/VenVen/Stock-Revamp/network), and it took me to @IronCretin's repo, though it looks like they're both up to date on that branch (https://github.com/IronCretin/Stock-Revamp/commit/e9e8ee6b17eba11350a5cc594534e2fda14d5e2b), however, I'll update it to use @Kerbas_ad_astra's repo

This is all looking tantalisingly close to a working RO.

It`s like another release date for any KSP update a few months after the official one because that is when RO is put together for the first time. Like two birthdays or Christmas twice :)

I must admit to stopping playing when 1.2 was released and I`ll probably only start again when RO is out because the stock game, even with mods, just doesn`t cut it any more. At least now I have had time to get back into coding although I have learned Python and C# for raspberry Pi and Arduino respectively which doesn`t seem the same language as the code I`ve looked at for KSP mods.

RO, especially with RP-0, for me is the game KSP should have been.

Thanks to everyone working on it, it is a mega leap forwards.

I can't understand why there's no "Donate" button to support the makers of this awesome mod. I think it should be, because this mod demands a lot of time to make it up to date and i think this work should be payed. How do you think?

@rsparkyc I want to make sure of something really quickly. You linked entire Firespitter pack as one of the RO dependencies. Surely you meant just the Firespitter plugin alone, right? Or had whole Firespitter mod been required for RO this whole time, and I just didn't know about it?

Honestly, I'm not sure.  I just used the list of mods that's in one of the files in the repo: https://github.com/KSP-RO/RealismOverhaul/blob/master/RO_OP.txt

EDIT: of course, now I don't see it here, or in the RO thread that didn't get deleted

EDIT 2: I'm guessing it's because I saw it in my 1.1.3 install, but it's just the dll and a cfg file

So what's the story on RO?

Has NK passed on the project to someone else or is he still working on it?

I see we have a semi-working version done by the community, but without RP-0 I'm not sure I want to play. Is RP-0 totally broken at the moment?

Nathanael is just taking a break. Besides, RSS/RO/RP-0 are community-driven mods, meaning that everyone can contribute.

Depends on your view point. The dependencies will hold it back and KCT the major one that is currently broken.

There is a compiled working dev version of KCT here that may or may not be handy to check early conflicts.

The spreadsheet has an RP-0 tab, and things are working pretty well for me.  I'm working on my first manned orbital flight in my RP-0 campaign on 1.2.2 (currently trying to work out how I want my fairings on my Launch Escape System)

Your appreciation is appreciated. That said, RO is a -very- community driven mod, and so distributing any donations wouldn't exactly be easy. Who gets paid? What fraction to each? How frequently are those fractions reviewed as people enter and leave the project, or step up and down their committed time? And -who- makes those choices? Hopefully you see the challenges there.

@NathanKell has a donation button on the RSS page, so I could point you that way. He is one of the founding originators of RSS, RO and RP-0 after all, even if he has been taking it easy the past little while. @raidernick has contributed time, parts, configs, everything longer than I've been around. @Phineas Freak and @rsparkyc and plenty of others have contributed lots of time and effort to the project, particularly recently. There are too many contributors to RO to list them all, let along divvy up whatever donations might come in fairly. And RO itself rests of the shoulders of many other mods and mod makers.

@rsparkyc One more question - is there a reason why you point to Procedural Fairings 3.17b in your spreadsheet, whilst the newest version of said mod is 3.20?

Probably because my spreadsheet is getting to the point where it's outdated :) Time to update it

EDIT: Actually, that's weird, because 3.20 has been out since I made that spreadsheet.  Either way, I was using the 3.20b2 dll, but I've updated the spreadsheet accordingly
