I got to take a ride in an ford Tri-Motor during the summer. It is more comfortable than modern airliners, has no window seats because the wings are on top, and is smoother flying.

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 and Me 262. I mean, those things are beauties! I wish to see one.

The B-17 is such a sexy beast too.

That's not to say I don't love airliners, I took this picture myself of a KLM B747-400 (PH-BFK, "City of Karachi") in Hong Kong as it was being pushed back. An amazing sight of a beautiful engineering feat!

This was the A-12 "Project Oxcart" that preceded the SR-71 Blackbird. It was actually faster and flew higher than the SR-71.

It was so secret that it wasn't officially acknowledged until the mid- 90s.
