The Modular Booster System, abbreviated MBS, adds several parts intended for the expansion of KSP's solid rocket booster assortment. MBS gives you different nozzles and several sizes of fuel segments. It is currently under heavy development.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated! :D

Changelog:

MBS CHANGELOG:

Version 0.1: Initial Release!
Version 0.2: Fixed surface node attachment, added 0.625 meter parts. Some .cfg fixes.
Version 0.3: Tech tree integration, overhaul of config files. Should be more balanced.
Version 0.4: Changed to SolidFuel Resource. More config fixes, entry costs.
New Solid Rocket Nozzles: Now with two variations of each size, one for standard, one for high thrust.
(Higher thrust is balanced with lowered efficiency and cost)
Version 0.4.1: Fixed SRN-250 overheating
Version 0.5.0: More editing. New models for fuel tanks.

Version 0.5.1: Not entirely sure about the new models, but it's a start. Went and redid some of the engine configs.

Looking good!

(Also, is there a way to make it so that the fuel only flows down the stack? At the moment, it can go through fuel lines...)

EDIT:

We have 2.5 meter parts! Kind of...

When I launch they become 1.25 meter parts with spacing in between... :confused:

Ah... I had it set to the smaller tank's ID in the .cfg. :P

If you wanted your own Resources thats fine but you could have done

@RESOURCE_DEFINITION[SolidFuel]
{
@flowMode = STACK_PRIORITY_SEARCH
}

And all still looks like it works the same.

EDIT- Well besides, I did edit all your tanks and engines to use SolidFuel.

I second this.

PS- Potato Cake

SmallFatFetus

It's already been done. :) Version 0.5.0 fixed it.

However, as SolidFuel doesn't transfer between tanks, or engines, and just stays put in it's own part, I've had to use the temporary solution of giving it a STACK_PRIORITY_SEARCH flow type with ModuleManager. I'm working on a .dll that will check if a fuel line is connected to a part with the SolidFuel resource, and disable flow if it is.

Modular Booster System version 0.6.0 is on the horizon.

MBS 0.6.0 will add new models for engines, and possibly an upper-stage nozzle for each size. (Suggestion by FishInferno)

I am looking for testers. Currently I only have one.

Roles of testers would include:

-Looking for bugs

-Checking for consistency

-Playing the game with the parts

-Aggressively testing the parts

-Not submerging the parts in water, even partially. (:P)

If you would like to become a tester for MBS, send me a private message or post here.
