  1. It surely will, but it would be nice if you check the Official Challenge Submission Guide first: "Is this challenge possible? Many challenges we see are nearly or literally impossible to achieve, and usually very little thought has gone into them, these challenges just annoy people, waste forum space and show that the submitter hasn't really tried. So test your challenge yourself first to make sure it is possible, you don't have to be successful but you'll soon know if the challenge has a hope of being completed." Is your challenge possible? You tested it first? It is customary (or at least desirable) that the creator of the challenge post his kick off entry to the challenge itself. Another thing that would be nice (but not entirely neccesary) would be a leaderboard.
  2. I'm currently on the early stages of design for this challenge, I'm aiming for the Jeb Level. This (hopefully) will be the return ship, a revamped version of my interplanetary spaceplane "S.S. Hawking".
  3. I circumnavigate Kerbin by land, no mods, no hacks, only stock. Started roving north from the KSC on January 24, 2014, went over both poles, one sea, two islands and an ocean, leaving behind 74 EVA Kerbals and 74 flags, reaching the KSC from the south today August 10, 2014. I recorded the entire trip in 24 episodes, the last one is embedded bellow. You can find my thread with all the details here
  4. Wanna know how to get into career mode? A CHALLENGE! Challenge: Start a fresh career mode in hard difficulty and try to unlock all the parts under 20 missions.
  5. Thank you for this interesting bit dude, gonna hunt a copy of the book.
  6. I'm a subpar plane builder at best, and reading the entire thread (yes, I did read it, sighed a lot, laughed a lot and really got interested in the issue) I would love to see more images of planes built with the old decomissioned parts compared to their new counterparts. I would love to hear what Flobbert/BagelRabbit has to say about this issue. he's a tiny planes builder extraordinaire.
  7. Is Half Life 5 confirmed yet?
  8. I present to you my single seat, quad-engine, all weather tactical fighter aircraft: Stinger W-1 Download link: https://mega.co.nz/#!1N8TGYBD!34x5F0TLT9gaEvpi_c3k1HbGgupsoCflJaCbfTryf9o Features: - 5 custom front mounted stock missiles, fired in pairs through staging. - Vertical take off / landing. - 4 basic jet engines mounted over one MK1 fuselage tank each with circular intakes, providing good range and excellent airflow. - 2 reaction wheels and 8 crossed control surfaces. - Engines activate/shut down through action group 9 for convenience. - Cool lights, because you need cool lights of course.
  9. Try it, I just did, with the probe attached it gives the error, saving the subassembly without it doesn't. It's because part 0 can't be a probe. As proof try to save part of the ship as a subassembly, select the lower part from the first battery, you will see it takes it.
  10. It's the probe core, subassemblies can't contain pods as far as I know, (you are using a Probodyne QBE, right?). As proof try to save part of the ship as a subassembliy, select the lower part from the first battery, you will see it takes it.
  11. -Xacktar is a must for your dose of crazy muffins. -Gotta love Flobbert (Bagel Rabbit). -Piloting skills? Awesome ships? Cupcake Landers. -Andrew Hansen: The next Scott Manley. -Crazy spaniard with giant robots, mod extraordinaire: m1sz
  12. You need to check your humour / irony detector, I think it might be broken
  13. I've combed through the Already Suggested List and couldn´t find anything about this idea: Suggestion: Kerbals should have gestures / emoting commands similar to "World of Warcraft" or "Team Fortress 2" taunts, scripted reactions triggered by text / keys commands. Why: Awesome screenshots of successful missions is the first thing that comes to mind. Imagine having your Kerbal giving a thumbs up to the camera after your first Mun landing, or striking a pose with an aircraft / rocket design you are proud of. On a related note, imagine what youtubers could do with a tool like this, it would be a huge storytelling tool. In my short stint as a KSP Youtuber I've always found myself thinking about how cool would it be if Kerbals could emote, even a small set of movements and gestures could open a whole new level for creative people to squeeze stories, comedy and drama. Kerbals are what make this game different, without them this game would be another space flight simulator. Make them awesomer.
  14. The largest rover I've ever landed was this little monster, no infinite fuel, no gravity hacks, all stock. After landing on Kerbin I did it in Duna, much easier thanks to the lower gravity. No how I manage to send the pyramid to Duna is another story...
  15. I've been on "teh interwebs" long enough (almost 20 years, good grief!) to understand that the best forums need to have a really tight and alert teams of moderators keeping things on track, and I do appreciate the dedication needed to maintain civility and good manners, they help you to voice your opinion if you follow the rules. Is everybody going to be okay with that? No, of course not, not everybody is ready to comply with rules and standards. But SQUAD opened this space for us to use and they have all the right to moderate the content. Follow the rules, don´t be a ...., and your voice will be heard.
  16. Either gas swamp or a street light. Any mods installed?
  17. I have to agree with the OP, this is one of the most civil and helpful forums I´ve ever been, the internet can be a wretched hive of scum and villainy but this community is a shiny beacon of hope. Kudos to the moderators for their fine work.
  18. With infinite fuel cheat and a freaking lot of thrust you can do a "straight point at mun" with a travel time of 6 / 8 minutes of constant acceleration, I've seen it on youtube but never tested myself.
