  1. The swept wings are the easiest to build with. I found a thread a while ago with some good plane-building tips. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: Here is the link: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/52080-Basic-Aircraft-Design-Explained-Simply-With-Pictures Good tutorial but not much about wings. Try disabling angle snap and see if that helps.
  2. Make sure you aren't timewarping. If you timewarp through the chute deployment they'll sometimes snap off.
  3. I just got a school project where I have to write a essay about someone who has contributed to the good of mankind. I have chosen Wernher Von Braun as my subject. For the project I need to find at least one biography about Wernher Von Braun so my request is: I am searching for a biography on Wernher Von Braun and looking for recommendations If you know of any good ones please post. If you know of any websites, documentaries or other good sources please post those as well.
  4. You have to press R to turn on the EVA pack if that's what you mean. Use the wasd keys and shift and control to fly around. Remember that the pack has limited fuel.
  5. Most of these sound pretty good. I would definitely enjoy automatic circulation burns. Prepare to be blasted by the vets for your engineering suggestions though.
  6. I saw the link to the KSP website at the bottom of the menu of Simple Rockets. I tried the demo and loved it.
  7. What about this? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/104758-0-90-In-Flight-Waypoints-v1-2-0-2014-12-27
  8. RLA Stock-alike for the awsome parts 6S service tubes just because they're so handy EVE because it's pretty Stock-alike station parts bacause you van build so much better looking structures.
  9. Yes you are correct. Please note that you're command pods do not have to be filled to complete the contract. You just have to have room for the stated amount of crew.
  10. All the info you need is in the forum FAQ: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/48073-Forum-FAQ-–-Answers-for-New-Users (and as bill phill said make sure you are using the desktop version)
  11. Something like this: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/60750-WIP-Cacteye-Telescope-v0-1-(2-1-14)-Modular-EVA-serviceable-orbital-telescope
  12. Sorry Ubuntu isn't working out for you. If you'd post a little more information about your computer we might be able to help you get KSP working better (and Minecraft runs totally fine on Ubuntu by the way). Are you trying to launch Windows through GRUB? I think your best bet is to find your friend as he will be able to troubleshoot your issue much faster then we can here.
  13. Its hard not to hit Ike. Ike's SOI is so big compared to Duna's that getting an inercept is extremely easy. I think the best way to do it would be to aerrobrake then just transfer up to Ike's orbit just as you do Mun or Minimus. Alternatively you could also try a using a gravity assist to enter Ike's orbit.
  14. Welvome to the forums. As you have already noticed the forum search feature is not very helpful. As you have already discovered using Google works far better then the built in search function.
  15. I'm not sure what to say....
  16. Cant help you much on the first two issues but i know a little about the last one. If i recall correctly after you press alt+tab you can click in any other quadrant of the screen besides the one KSP is running in and switch to another workspace. Its hard to explain but i think it's one of many quirks with the proprietary drivers.
  17. Not to be rude but what is the point? Two clamp-o-trons are quite rigid.
  18. Now that you mention it I've noticed that too. Not sure what the deal with it is.
  19. Hello there. Welcome to the forums!
  20. Greetings fellow Tennessean! Happy Thanksgiving as well!
  21. I agree with this. I know squad cannot possibly be expected to reply to every feature request I am somewhat frustrated because of the lack of any developer activity on the suggestions forum. Think about it, have you ever seen a dev comment on any suggestion. I feel that it would be good if the devs commented on sugestion threads with very large amounts of activity, such as the scratch style action groups thread, just so the community can know their requests are being heard. Maybe the devs could ask the mods to sticky threads that get sufficient attention so that they can easily find threads that deserve an official reply. I know that I am frustrated that the suggestions forum seems to be so completely ignored.
