  1. Yeah, I know, but the differences, IMO, are minor and not worth talking about. Certainly, the differences are less than the differences between KSP1 and 2. The argument that Vegatoxi is making is that KSP1 and 2 are the same game but 2 is just updated. Anyway, my point was that just because a new, improved version of a game is released, it doesn't mean the previous version just gets abandoned. He's just plain wrong on that count. And frankly, if the developers want to continue supporting and updating the older game, who are we to say they can't? They can do whatever they want to their game, and they don't really have to answer to anyone about it except their bosses and/or shareholders. Lastly, I can't think of a single person, aside from Vegatoxi, who would actually COMPLAIN about an older game - ANY older game - continually being updated and supported, even when sequels have been released.
  2. Homeworld Remastered. Better graphics, better resolution choices (not limited to 1024x768 maximum res as in the initial release). Everything better than original Homeworld release with the exact same gameplay and missions. Yet what do I play most often when I get the Homeworld itch? I pop in my original Homeworld CD that I bought on release day nearly 20 years ago. Sure the textures look crap, the models are stretched (unless I play in windowed mode, which I hate), and I love it. Interestingly enough, the Homeworld Remastered set also includes the original game as it was released all that time ago, untouched. I still play from my original disc. It doesn't matter that there's an EXACT same game, but updated for modern systems... I still play the original. There are still lots of people out there that still play the original Homeworld, even with multiple generations-old visuals and resolutions. I certainly will NOT abandon KSP1 after I buy KSP2, and certainly it's not "obvious" that "everyone else will abandon KSP1". The responses you've gotten in this thread should make that clear enough. If YOU want to abandon it, that's YOUR choice. Don't try to force that choice on everyone else though, by making it seem like it's a foregone conclusion that since YOU won't play KSP1 anymore, then it's "obvious" no one else will.
  3. Gave you a like for Rush and Babymetal. I don't know Dave Brubeck Quartet.
  4. Sorry I wasn't able to get those files to you before you fixed it. Had some running around to do for a few hours. The fix is working fine.
  5. FWIW, my own issue was with the Merlin 1B, and one of the small hypergolic engines. Personally, while it was an issue, I wasn't too concerned about it. If a bug isn't game-breaking, or otherwise interfering with gameplay, I can usually overlook the problem. Also, I noticed on the Smokescreen thread that this issue popped up in December, and 2.8.9 was created to fix the issue. I've posted the bug there, as an addendum to someone else's same issue while using BDB (which I don't have installed on my JNSQ game), so this problem is NOT an SSTU problem, but appears to be a Smokescreen problem.
  6. Same thing here. Smokescreen 2.8.9 in a JNSQ game has no sound or plumes for SSTU engines. Rolling back to 2.8.7 fixes the issue. Edit: I don't have BDB installed. Just wanted to add another data point.
  7. I can also confirm that rolling back to Smokescreen 2.8.7 fixes the no sound/no plume issue.

  9. Honestly, I wasn't aware of the built-in solar panels, so haven't used them. I've only noticed the lines on the 2.5m part. Anyway, as I said earlier, it's not a big deal to me, so I'll just leave things be until the full release is... well, released.
  10. Yeah, I have the same thing. I just haven't said anything about it because it doesn't really bother me. It's not actually affecting the gameplay so... meh.
  11. Yes, JNSQ is perfect for this sort of thing. It scales up the stock system to 2.7x, adds a few new planets and moons, and all can be reached by building a ship from only stock parts, although it WILL be a bit more difficult.
  12. Odd... I have both GT and World Stabilizer installed and have had no issues with either.
  13. I'm still on 1.7.3 and using MM 4.0.3, and have seen this behavior as well.
  14. You need Community Resource Pack, since you installed OPT Reconfig. https://spacedock.info/mod/31/Community Resource Pack
  15. An acquaintance of mine posted an image of his first Mun landing back in 2012-2013 (don't recall exactly when), and based on that image, I looked into the game. Bought it pretty much then and there, although according to Steam, I missed the cutoff for the free DLC by a month or so.
  16. On a similar note, I much prefer to go back and play the original Deus Ex over Human Revolution. This despite the fact that HR has better graphics, a more interactive hacking mechanic, and so on. The original is simply, for me, more fun and immersive, and I've played it at least once per year since the day it was first released (even though I know all the various secret routes through areas, recall most usernames and passwords for ATMs, computers and so forth, and have both saved Paul and let him die). I've only played HR once.
  17. PC still gets visits from the Kraken. I see posts about it almost daily in the KSP subreddit. Edit: In fact, I had a kraken attack my refueling station a few weeks ago, and I'm running 1.7.3 with KJR
  18. Think of it this way: If the console version comes out far enough behind the PC version, then some major and minor bugs (in the PC version) may have been squashed. These fixes can then be implemented into the console version prior to release, and you'll never have to deal with them. In short, think of the PC release as QA testing for console. OTOH, there may end up being console-exclusive bugs, but that's neither here nor there.
  19. Ah! Thank you. I just installed ReStock and ReStock+ a few days ago, but I also have RealChutes installed. I'll take that out and see what happens.
  20. This is probably a stupid question, but where did you get those parachutes? I've seen them elsewhere and they look so much nicer than stock. As for your problem, I use KJR as well and haven't ever seen that happen.
  21. Seconded. I can do a decent enough manual gravity turn, but automating it really removes the tedium (it's also nice that you can use auto-warp during the launch).
  22. I'll let you know when I finally start one. (pssst! Don't hold your breath)
