  1. I was flying along, when suddenly: my wing exploded. It said it crashed into the VAB, which I was a few kilometers away from at the time. Infuriatingly, I was playing on hard mode. This is an 0.25 unmodded install on Mac. I was able to force-quit KSP, and go back to an earlier autosave, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
  2. Well, with the new update, you can blow up the VAB . . .
  3. It has started working for me now (after much refreshing).
  4. When I try to download 0.25, I get this error: Warning: session_start(): The session id is too long or contains illegal characters, valid characters are a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and '-,' in /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/config.php on line 9 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/config.php:9) in /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/config.php on line 9 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/config.php:9) in /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/config.php on line 9 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/config.php:9) in /host/www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/htdocs/lib/multiplayDwn.php on line 11 Invalid Token How can this be fixed? I want 0.25 so much!
  5. It sounds like an asymmetric thrust problem due to one engine starving for air before the other. In what order were the intakes and engines placed?
  6. If we have that level of technology, we could just recreate the species there from the DNA sequences and local resources. No need to actually transport organisms. Also, 8 million seems too low, and in any case, why would we need to transport all the Earth species?
  7. I have made it back to Kerbin from Eve. The reentry was very fun . . . I should post this in the Eve SSTO thread. By my calculations, my score is 46-40=6
  8. I've gone to Jool and landed on Eve now (who cares about transfer windows, we have infinite delta v ), and I should be able to get back to Kerbin.
  9. The Kraken drive is between the SAS units, using micro landing legs. Update: I've managed to trim the part count down to 46.
  10. I've landed on Eve fine. However, the ship explodes when I try to take off (pics will come soon). I think the infiniglide is too strong. I'm going to try Jool next.
  11. I've solved all the problems! I have achieved orbit and am working on going to Jool and Eve. Mass of ship is 1.87 tons. Part count is 60 (of which 48 are control surfaces).
  12. I'm working on this. I've managed to build a pretty lightweight yet powerful Kraken drive, currently under 2 tons with the crew capsule. I just need to make the infinigider part. Update: There are structural issues, to put it mildly.
  13. Yes, but then it would be obvious that it was sabotaged.
  14. And overpowered Russian bombers. But rammers are much worse.
  15. Your guess is correct! Also, a Mun-Minmus gravity assist would be nearly impossible because of the inclination change. Getting the Ap out to Minmus is trivial compared to getting the right inclination.
  16. Best Pe so far: 3,617,654 Bill was returned to Kerbin, so my score is 5426481
  17. The launch window for the Mun assist is only about 30 seconds long. My best periapsis so far was 2,104,367, but I'm sure I can do better.
  18. Man, I'm really surprised nobody has thought of my great idea: a Mun gravity assist! My mission is almost done; I'm just trying to time it perfectly to get the highest possible periapsis without escaping. Pictures will follow soon.
  19. No, Mechjeb's cosine losses are when engines are angled off to the side (so they end up fighting each other somewhat).
