  1. Yeah, follow the link to our thread we make just about anything, but preferably replicas, but we don't hesitate making things like battlecruisers! (I'm making one ATM)
  2. Yeah. He went against mission protocol and over used his monopropellant and he ended up way off course in the middle of no where. It was luck he survived reentry because he had no way to correct his orientation if he was off.
  3. I feel so sad for one of the Mercury astronauts.... I've had this forums for almost a week and have gotten nearly 50 voters.... And there STILL isn't a vote for poor Malcom Carpenter!! I feel sad for him, no one favors him
  4. *chokes* Ummm.... Really? Really? Do you not realize that NASA is a government program? Besides! NASA brings in more money than the rest of the whole government. NASA (in its history) has spent LESS than 1 trillion dollars. We are in a 10t debt. That debt was made PRIOR to NASA's effect. Besides all the money that NASA spends RETURNS to the US. There's a pic that reminds of what you said, but sadly, the person who made your comment, looked like a dumbass in the end. Realize that NASA GAINS money to the government, because it has tourist dollars, unlike say the Great Congress building experience (doesn't exist.... Thankfully)
  5. Yeah, but the crew KNEW the problems prior to the test (hence the picture). North America knew too, but they did very little. Things like the wrench proved how little concern that had.
  6. We make, design and give any crafts you may want designed. Follow the thread if you have questions relating to what we are.
  7. Yeah, I remember the scenes with all the rockets failing. The reason the Titans DIDN'T fail during Gemini was because they added so many redundant after redundant systems, so that if 3 systems failed, there was another to replace it. Thats why.
  8. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: I have updated the main page, so artists PLEASE REREAD it so you understand where I'm heading. Thank you
  9. Well, I hope you get the idea. The rockets they used were (mostly) prior missile designs. Do you get the point? True Atlas was dangerous, but wasn't it the Titan in where every 1 in 5 Titan rockets failed? I think so...
  10. Oh Definately. If you look at NASA, most of the rockets used (and if I remember correctly for the Russian space program) were used as prior nuclear ICBMs. Like the Redstone, Atlas and Titan. I believe the only rocket DESIGNED for space exploration (at that time) was the Saturn rocket family. So the statement, "The first astronaut was sitting onto of a nuclear weapon" however partially false, however the internal meaning of the statement, is STARTLING true.
  11. This is a kerbal space program group (like others under the rocket builders category) I would like a logo made for us.
  12. Kerbal Minds Corperation. Sorry, my bad. I usually don't write it like that.
  13. Make sure to check the forum thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74507-Kerbal-Minds-Corp-Crafts%21-HIRING%21 Thanks Holo. We'll see what we can do! Can you make it more for us? That's kind of... Russian... We lack Russian equipment ATM.
  14. Yeah. Technical innovation typically comes at a price, but that because the human condition has it where if a person doesn't like it, their brain works to fix it. Then they do... That's why war inspires it. To be better than the other... So they believe. Plague.. It inspires to recreate the happy way of life PRIOR to the mass death... People do this... It's a sad fact.
  15. Cool thanks. I'll add you to the list and your pic. Anything helps, mine sucks. If you check in a few hours I'll update this post and link you to my horrifyingly BAD pic I made. Also, heres the link to a thread you can look at/read/follow/join etc: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74507-Kerbal-Minds-Corp-Crafts%21-HIRING%21
  16. Ok. I see. However I just want to point out, the biggest explosions in space technology came during wars. The V2 was designed by the Nazis during WW2. Mercury, Gemini and Apollo took place during the COLD WAR. Wars inspire the most for new technology and ways to do things. Mass plague (such as the black death) can also cause this, but the most common thing to inspire it is war. Look at history.... It's true.
  17. We at Kerbal Minds Coperation (KMC) are needing a logo for our space program, so any person wanting to try out can submit any artwork fitting of our program, then do so. I (and the people at KMC) will decide which is the best and select. Here is an example of what I made for it in the past (warning, might be scary... I suck at art : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx7MSvRH-8qdNktTY0duM1QyTDg/edit?usp=sharing The list below are current people who submitted ideas for us: FlamingPotatoes Holo - What I WOULD like is: A rocket+engineering tool things in each of a blank Kerbals brain. (one hemisphere being a rocket, the other hemisphere being a wrench or something or other). Then have K M C lined up somewhere. Your artist, I'm certain you can make something good, but please, make something suitable to our character and looks Whoever wins will be let known immediately. I hope you can make something good... Good luck!
  18. Well then in that case forget Neil, Luna 9 was the moment in time never to forget. That's your belief in a nutshell.
  19. True, and I never said it wasn't. Now, you can't say I'm wrong, when I say they NEVER did use the Gemini EVA backpack tho... right?
  20. There was training for the EVA backpack, but again, (like the Gemini Paraglider/Skylab 3 or whatever mission) it was never used, even though it was used in training. The thing is that the EVA backpack was NEVER used in space until the SS era. Also, the suits WHERE very stiff. Finally, the deaths of Apollo proved that deaths can happen ANYWHERE, that is one of many reasons the SP survived. If Challenger had happened during any mission prior to Apollo 12, they might have ended NASA. The thing is that it showed that it can happen anywhere, not that the space FLIGHT is dangerous. It's like you sitting in a test plane on a runway, and it explodes, now that doesn't mean they will never fly it, but it does mean that anything can happen... especially during testing.
