  1. Not very convincing.... Of course there are other ways to look at it apart form your perspective. Other game developers constantly add content to their games while doing bugfixes in the mean time. Both things don't exclude each other. You can't expect a game to be 100% bug free before any content gets added and there will always be someone complaining about this or that which isn't perfect in their eyes. I think people should be allowed to speculate and talk about the possibilities of the far future of KSP as a game. This would be extremely awesome!
  2. Same here. It's not that original KSP system was to small, but i think adding another Star system(s) feels like the next logical step so to speak.
  3. I like the idea of the Attero, but to me it's not a replacement for the Kannae drive. Notice, that i don't speak about the kannaes secondary (much more powerful) mode. But combined they are great imo, but you just need too many of the kannae to propel a bigger sized ship. I wouldn't even mind if you would increase the fuel ratio of a bigger sized Kannae, but the engine count you need for a bigger sized Ship is just not funny. I'm far from being an expert in KSP (or interested in a "realistic" approach), but to make the Zubrin more adequate, i'd scale it's model size and mass x2 (and use a more massive looking model in the first place) and change the Ore fuel into something that needs a additional reactor or different fuel (like conversion the ore into something else like uranium for ex.) Good luck with your finals!
  4. The first thing that comes to my mind aren't any special parts, but something far more handy: tweakscale integration (only for certain parts, like the Kannae Drive for example). Let me explain, sometimes i intent to propel a bigger ship with some Q3 "positron" Kannae drives, but the amount of parts i would need to do so would raise the part count very high. Don't get me wrong, i'm not looking for a more efficient engine, just the possibility to make the existing one bigger to keep part count tolerable. When it comes to new ideas for parts, i could imagine a engine, similar like the 'Project Orion' Nuclear Pulse Engine from the same mod (but working, lol). What i mean by that is a big and powerful Engine that is fuelled by very expensive or hard to create fuel. (Like using 1000 ore for 1 unit of fuel for example.) You know something that is and really feels powerful. It doesn't need to be precise, but powerful, similar like the mentioned "Project Orion" engine. Another thing would be to just scale up the Beta-SW "zubrin" nuclear drive to a more appropriate size (for it's power). I only mention it, because it seems way too powerful for its size for my taste, so how about scaling the model up about 2x and make it a heavier? (Don't get me wrong, but i never use it because it feels a bit too cheaty to me ) Some other random ideas: If you want to go the more sci fi route, how about a fancy mass-reducing device? (with a appropriate high power consumption, of course) Command pods (or better said Command centers) for sci-fi -is ships (not spaceplanes) would be nice too. Before i forget, have you ever thought about creating virtual particles RCS thrusters? Ever since i saw your mod i'm waiting for them to add additional star systems for your mod to really shine!
  5. I play KSP v1.1.2 and have exactly the same problem.
  6. My rules (play exclusively sandbox): No part clipping. Leave no kerbal stranded. Long time misisons require at least 3 kerbals and a sufficient amount of living space. Most of my kerbal ships don't leave orbit naked (=un armed (using BD laser turret)). No spaceplanes being send to other planets. (it's just... wrong ) No science biome grind. I use all sorts of sci stuff to scan a planet and land, but i don't land on all biomes just for the sake of it. No probes, i always send manned missions to explore things. Quicksave is ok, since KSP tends to CtD sometimes.
  7. I use Mechjeb for mostly anything. (not that i wouldn't know how to do stuff, i just don't want to.) I L.O.V.E. more or less realistic Sci Fi mods, like the "project orion Engine" or sci if mods like Solaris hypernautics. I hate landing space planes. I use tweakscale extensively. I only play sandbox. (always adding/deleting mods. Don't like to again career from the beginning all the time) I never found even one easter egg location, lol. I use a excessive amount of reaction wheels for most rockets. I use "Unbreakable Joints" from the cheat menu.
  8. I must say i'm not a huge fan of bad movies. I just dislike this "let's jump on the cheap movie train to fill the market gap" mentality (especially most Sci-Fy productions). To me this is just a waste of money that could (or better said -should-) be spent on other things. On topic: Apart from many thing that have already been mentioned, what bothers me the most is when movies are telling historical stories but from our moral point of view. For example when the hero clearly has our ethical standards to make him/her more likeable, while mostly only the bad guys behave more realistic (for example "the patriot" or "Kingdom of Heaven" to name a few. Would it be too much to tell the audience that in previous times (where the movie takes place) people had different moral standards and how glad we should be to live in our (more civilized) times? I'm so tired of seeing 20/21th century people populating previous times like hollywood tries to show us. (sorry for my bad english)

  11. Hi everyone! I'm looking for mods that feature large command pods that can be used for larger ships and interplanetary (or someday interstellar maybe?) missions. So far, i mostly found aircraft -like cockpits but only very few that look appropriate for a larger ship or non SSTOs in general. What kind of command pod do (or would) you guys use for large ships like that? I've been playing KSP for years now, but i always stumble over the same problem that i can't find a appropriate command center for more time consuming missions. (no need for fully made interiors) I usually used Near Future Spacecraft but since it hasn't been fully updated i realized that i know of no other mod that features similar command pods. Are there any mods out there you guys may know of that i migh have missed? Thanks in advance.

  13. Impressive ship! I'm planning to build a similar kind of mothership myself when 1.1 is out. Hopefully my Computer/KSP will then be able to handle such big constructions without crashing.
  14. I wanted to ask the same thing, since some mods can also be downloaded from other sites. The best thing would be if CKAN would open a promt to manualy select the file on the Hard drive in case of a download error. It would be still better than just crashing. (Sry, my bad english)
