  1. Noooo I was so hoping this bug would finally go away with 1.2
  2. I thank you for understanding this. We love these guys. It wouldn't be such a big deal if they were still here on the forums, but instead they seemed to have disappeared. Many of us worry about the cause of their disappearance. Has Squad prevented them from communicating with us? My plea is this: Squad, please allow these guys to freely continue to take part in our community.
  3. hahaha, we so need this. Stealing for my new signature.
  4. These valued community members better not be alienated from contributing to the community. If they have been alienated via NDA or other means, I think we as a community need to rise up and show squad that we don't appreciate it.
  5. But you aren't everybody. Not everybody feels that we don't have spaghetti noodles, my rockets fly while bending to and fro, and I also don't want joints that can't be broken if I build a bad rocket. In my game, played by me, that is cheating and I will never use it. I want rockets that break instead of flopping around.
  6. Not everything that happens needs a button. In my example, I would like to build a normal single stack rocket and not have it flop around like a wet spaghetti noodle. I don't want to click a bunch of buttons to disable spaghetti noodles. I just want to never have spaghetti noodles.
  7. What we wanted was rockets that aren't so floppy. Why implement such a complex and click-happy solution to the problem? Please consider the sloppiness that KSP is becoming over the last few updates. It seems like squad has hired several coding minded individuals and lost a few human interface minded individuals. Not everything needs a button and configuration options. It may take more thought towards design, but it is always better to just "make it work" without all of the buttons and options.
  8. Tylo will nail you on your first try. This is working as designed. But here's a suggestion: Keep a very high thrust to weight ratio. Like 1.5 to 3.0
  9. I can't believe how many mods I feel I need to add to the stock game before I want to play: Always: KER KJR MechJeb Scatterer Fuel Tanks Plus -- This is the only part pack that I "always" play with. Toolbar KAC Chatterer Portrait Stats Landing Height - Diazo Real Parachute Filter Extensions Docking Port Alignment Indicator Distant Object Enhancement Contract Configurator AllY'All KIS Usually: Near Future Technologies ScanSat Community Tech Tree TweakScale Stock Bug Fix Modules USI Life Support MKS Kolonization AutomatedScienceSampler Dated Quick Saves Texture Replacer Planet Shine
  10. Same problem here as well. Stock 1x6 panels (the retractable kind). Will report if i find a fix.
  11. I've just been using the Scatterer configs from this mod without the Eve portions installed, and it seems to work out well for me.
  12. KIS/KAS so that you can manage inventories, re-purpose ancient landers, attach rtg's and solar panels to your rigged up rover, and shed weight from ascent vehicles. Near Future Propulsion/Construction/Electrical for recreating the hermes.
  13. For the love of Kerbal, please someone explain how to rename vessels in the tracking station. Or is the purpose of this thread to keep the hidden gameplay utilities hidden?
  14. I like mods like ForScience and AutomatedScienceSampler that automatically do the science that my vessel and crew are capable of doing. I believe this should be stock. You would load the right crew and the right equipment and then you'd get little science blurbs about what you've learned as you pass through biomes.
  15. Here a great list of the most popular mods in popularity order: http://spacedock.info/kerbal-space-program/browse/top Here are some of my starter mod recommendations: Scatterer (to make visuals look more awesome) SpaceY (if you want larger parts) Chatterer (for fun kerbal audio chatter during flight) Docking Port Alignment Indicator (for easier docking) Outer Planets Mod (to add more planets to visit while keeping stock planets)
  16. Put a parachute on and come back home. When you've landed, move your mouse to the very top-center of the screen and choose the option to Recover. You will be awarded all science that you've captured.
  17. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ASAP !!!! It's what they do after their quick money that scares me. Squad does not seem to have a long term plan.
  18. Well that's not good. If it bugs you, we should talk to somebody about correcting that.
  19. Nope you can use or create a license that can help you restrict redistribution per your will, while still allowing for open source.
  20. 6/10 I've seen that somewhere before...?
  21. Let's stop being so dramatic. Don't expect people to understand your feelings. People can be dumb and mean. If CKAN switches to an Opt-in system as described, then someone else can just make another tool that installs redistributable mods. "but, but I want..." Nope, no buts. Per Add-on posting rule #1: TL;DR Everyone please just use a license that reflects your will.
  22. I just discovered Half Size RSS mod by @pap1723. It seems to be exactly what I've been hoping for. Can't wait to try it.
  23. I searched forever for game to simulate orbital mechanics. After much frustration I finally stumbled across SimpleRockets! SimpleRockets was the best thing since the N64. But then it happened. Within the SimpleRockets app I tapped on a link recommending "Kerbal Space Program", and my world was changed forever.
