  1. Sorry, no desktop-quality screenshots, my computer sucks, lol. Here's a video at least:
  2. I think you might be on to something here - a poll will give users an idead of how popular certain ideas are. As it is right now, we can only guess based upon an assumption of how many people share the same views based on who talks the loudest. I know a ton of people are sitting these debates out as to not get caught in the crossfire.
  3. What are you talking about? The way I phrased the post made sure the CM's stated their exact intentions, and I replied that I love their attitude. They fully understand what I was getting at. My apologies, but I don't always have time to explain all of my intentions to everyone on the board. I'm trying to steer this ship to calmer waters. You can tell the CM's appreciate it by the fact that both of them and JustJim jumped into the thread. I'm seriously getting sick of the comments from the peanut gallery. As to the topic, my number one request is that the powers that be look at the value in making this a proper sim like KSP1. As it stands, the direction it is going seems to be a mostly curated mission structure with a sandbox to pick up science points if needed. Almost like a space GTA. KSP1 had open ended contracts and a sandbox to grab your science points from wherever you wanted. That made it so that the only thing fixed was that your start point was Kerbin. From there, you can go anywhere. In KSP2, you are going from Kerbin to Mun, to Minmus, to Duna, etc. I know I can still hit Eve at the start if I want, but most people new to the game won't. I really believe that the whole reason KSP caught on was a bunch of enineering people sunk their teeth into the game. If they want to replicate the success of the first game, they are going to have to give the same tools to us players to show the world how cool the game can be, or else they are going to get a bunch of youtubes titled "My KSP Run - Exactly the Same Order as Everyone Else, but My Craft is Green!"
  4. I know, but I'm starting this thread as a signal that I am joining you fine gentlemen
  5. Thank you! I knew you were a gentleman, you just had some stuff to deal with Quoted for truth, I'm out of likes for the day, but I'll hit you back tomorrow!
  6. Yeah, like how you have completely ignored me for like a month now is it? You tell me you are a straight-shooter, then go radio silent. I honestly don't care you had to hold the fort down. Thats just poor planning on your boss's part.
  7. My apologies kind sir. I do completely agree with you on that one, I should have been more clear. All I'm saying is that while there has been an improvement, they aren't quite out of the woods yet. I wish them all the best in a speedy 0.3.0 release!
  8. Since it seems fairly obvious that the powers that be making KSP2 are only paying us lip-service by saying they want our suggestions, I figured I'd open a thread so that players can have their suggestions actually listened to and discussed, and hopefully we can get some modders in here to make your suggestions happen! Unfortunately, I have some errands to run, but when I get back, I'll get the ball rolling with some of my suggestions. Have a great day everyone, and try not to lose too much hope regarding KSP2 development, we can still make OUR game! Also, I have a video coming up on my channel where I have a reply to Nate's recent interview. www.youtube.com/@chrismacbean Enjoy!
  9. I don't blame you one bit. We have had our disagreements, but its sad to see you so frustrated you have to step away. Hope you find some inner peace! While I agree with the spirit of what you are saying, I do very much hope we don't have to wait for 1.0 for more optimizations.
  10. Nah, there are many more with over double my playtime. Unfortunately with the direction KSP2 is going, they are not keeping people like us around. KSP2 seems like its going to be a dumbed-down version of KSP1. I'm trying to keep the KSP1 spirit alive as much as I can with my channel. I just started it, but I hope to have a video a day once I'm up an running. As to the life after death? No, its Perma-Death for my Kerbals. I probably have as many rescue missions under my belt as regular missions lol. I might have a high playtime, but that doesn't mean I was an expert the entire time...far from it actually! Anyways, feel free to ask me anything about the game. This invitation is open to everybody. I want to actually listen to what the community wants KSP2 to be so we can compare and contrast with how its actually shaping up! Have a good one, everybody
  11. Unfortunately not. In regular play, you may not encounter many bugs, but I made an 11 minute cinematic and about 1/4 of the time or 50 hours was spent dealing with bugs. This game cannot load the same save more than like 5 times before the craft comes out all krakened. Its clear this game has not been playtested to any reasonable standard. I have a hunch the QA team is a revolving door, since it must be demoralizing to be forced to put out a product that does not meet your personal standards.
  12. Yeah, its a painful blow to the gut isn't it? Betrayed by the one you thought was your friend in this sea of Activision/Blizzard and the mess going on with Sweet Baby, etc. The only reason I'm sticking around is to stick it to them. I know we collectively have a better idea of how the game should go forward and I'm gonna prove it to them. I know how to video edit and I don't have anything better to do until September when my college course starts up. This one catches on Quick! I'll have to keep my eye on you.
  13. Welcome! I have over 10,000 hours in KSP. Lots of marathon sessions 18+ hours, and many great memories! I've got a youtube channel If you'd like to check it out. Just getting started, but I'be got big plans. https://www.youtube.com/@chrismacbean Cheers, have a good one!
  14. Hear, hear! Lol, they are tricking you. they don't give two excrements what we think. They have it all "planned out" already
  15. Oh heavens to Betsy, we forgot all about the thread where they joked about putting imperial units in KSP. Quick everyone, we must finish that riveting debate! Seriously though, the thread isn't derailed so much as the topic is now something YOU do not wan't to talk about. No, they are telling you that you think something is fixed because you have not seen the cracks yet. They have been very patient trying to explain it to people in this thread. It is not a difficult concept to grasp. Why do people think the burden of proof is on the poster who went and did reserach on the topic, and not the poster who reads the post and goes "I don't believe you. I haven't looked, but you sound wrong." What about imperial tons? Back to topic and all that. (I know it wasn't you who mentioned getting back to topic, I'm just making a bad joke)
  16. I understand where you are coming from, The Aziz, people should direct their complaints to the appropriate departments, but the issue is there are so many complaints, it is useless attempting to delegate them. Its a "whole game" problem that needs the dev team to come together and really decide what they want to do with this game. Is it an arcade-y game for kids that will inspire kids to play video games or a proper simulation akin to MSFS that allows players to do whatever they want and inspire people to work in the aerospace field? One has a legacy, one has more money up front. This is Take Two we are talking about. They already killed GTA for money. Everyone who made those games what they are have left the studio.
  17. Seriously! And its even worse that NASA basically gave it to them as well!
  18. You are spot on, buddy! Take Two or wherever the buck stops does not understand that showing warts and taking care of them is how you build trust and a loyal fanbase. Instead, they seem to want to build a fanbase out of anyone they can before the next quarterly earnings report and can't understand why the fairweather fans ditch the game after they played with the gridfins and insta-scienceTM, and then hit the sheer cliff face of a learning curve with the curated missions. I mean I have thousands of hours in the game so I could do them, but if they expect the kids* to do them? I've seen some of the stuff they've come up with. Looks like the stuff I made when I was just getting into KSP. Like before I learned how to rendezvous or go interplanetary. I gotta hand it to anyone who is less than a thousand hours into the game and is making it through some of these missions! Then, other missions are totally phoned in; toss some wheels on a probe core, load the game, don't touch a thing, SCIENCE! Its one step away from the underpants gnomes from South Park for crying out loud! Lol, I'll stop, its not even 8:00am on a Monday morning. There was a beautiful sunrise here today, pics to come when I get a chance. *I say this as a term of endearment. Like how rock bands call thier fans "the kids," I'm referring to all the people who are just noticing KSP2 as "the kids"
