  1. Some sort, any sort of hinge. A bay door with nothing /behind' it. So that cargo bays for large space craft can be built.
  2. Has there been a down load option any where? I can't seem to find one on the Youtube link. Edit: D'Oh! >_< Found it..
  3. Um, your latest gorgeous creation? Where is its craft file? Awesome idea/design/implantation!
  4. Truth in that. I miss some of the earlier version's 'forgiveness' when it came to part count... The cockpit? Is simple to add. Take a tiny cubic strut and place single on the forward fuselage. Take the Mk 1 cockpit and stick it facing 'up'. Use the tweak tool' (What's the proper name for those adjusting things top left corner of the SPH/VAB screen?) and rotate it back down to the horizontal. Stick something to smooth out the rear ((Nose cone etc) and then sink it down till you like the look. For 'level' nav ball flight I've clipped a ball probe core into the nose. I just select "Control from here' on what shows around the edges of the nose cone and she's flying straight and level. I have a mod that gives extra size variants with fuel tanks. Extra long 2.5's. Really tiny things. Extra Xenon tanks. Can't remember mod atm. Ship's currently not that responsive to her aerodynamic surfaces... But then it's meant to sled in a straight line into orbit, right? Again, than you for your inspiration.
  5. Here is my current experiments working from Zwolff's inspiration. Still a work in progress... And I wish I could clear things out of the forward cargo bay... but.. she FLIES! Much cheers, good will and thanks for the wonderful inspiration Zwolff!
  6. Yay! I haven't unlocked rapiers yet in my main game... but racing around in the sand-box with such a beauty will still be loads of awesome fun! Isn't there a saying? "Bigger is always better" ?
  7. Is there, perchance, a download of this beauty? I've tied to recreate her from the images and.... been less than successful...
  8. Hmm... okay.. maybe the SAS is 'fighting' the RCS input? Thank'e for the information on ascent profiles. Indeed, it is a beautiful machine to simply explore its construction in the VAB.
  9. Well, I downloaded this wondrous piece of work, http://kerbalx.com/Raptor9/LV-4A-Armadillo-Titan-4C And, it pretty much noodles when I try to start the gravity turn. 'Home' built rockets are much the same. To the effect that I basically just build an updated version of this system, But add 'poles' vertically upwards off the radial 'thrust plate' to act as a stabilizing scaffold system to prevent any wobble between decouplers. I must admit to being a bit unskilled at taking screen shots of my problems, it's just something which has really only become noticeable to me when trying to launch 'Standard' builds down loaded. Most of my monsters are terribly over powered and over braced.... Will look through my ships and see if I've a good, current design to take a snap-shot of and present a picture. I have found, with experimenting, that anything inside a cargo bay strutted to the walls and with a nice aerodynamic point on the top flies quite well. No shaking, no shimmying, all solid to orbit. Sorry for being rather vague, I'm thinking. Thank you for the reply/question. *Bows*
  10. Long time lurker/watcher/admirer/hobby player. I am finished with "Noodle rockets". Anything to do with fairings? Forget it. Nothing I try keeps the rocket even remotely stable after a touch at a gravity turn. Damn things flex into destruction. If it can't fit inside a cargo bay and be strutted like a straight jacket... it doesn't fly. Still... the explosive disintegration are pretty.
  11. Update: Game re-installed... All working. How does one put their 'Back up' back into the game? Can't find the "Save game" folders. Update: Found the "Save game" folders. Am now in process of veeerrrry slowly putting things back into said folders..... So far, so good. Thanking every one for all their help!
  12. Update; So.. went through and 'backed up' all my ship files. Made both complete copies in their seperate, designated folders as well as a seperate folder again with simply everything cut and pasted into it. Game still throwing the issue. Can load ship onto the pad and then into the VAB... Can't use the load tab in the VAB or SPH for anything. Am now in process of uninstalling complete game and re-installing (Yes, game files saved into different folder etc) When installing new game... No option for install directory. There seems to be a 'default' style thing where it's going to put it into 'Program files'? If this is the issue... how to change?
  13. When I open the game and open the 'Alt-F12' debug menu. Clicking on the yellow 'Folder' tab produces this message. [Exception]: DirectoryNotFoundException: Directory 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\Ships\SPH' not found. A corrupted something?
  14. I am unsure as to what has happened in/to my game. When I open the game and go to either the VAB or SPH I can not bring a craft out of said 'Load' tab option. I also cannot 'Save' new craft to said tab option. The files are still within the correct places when I look into the files. Please, help. Much cheers t all.
  15. Hello! Long time lurker and down loader of the forums. So! Rovers! Image Image This is my current (In 1.0 what ever) fastest rover design. The rugged wheels are the 'fastest'.. Though that 'skip' effect? it's the space where the different terrain tiles meet causing a glitch. ( I think. Least, that's where I seem to notice it happening...) As for suspension in low gravity? Remember! Your rover's mass is still the same. So expect higher speeds and eventually bigger crunches. Eventually.. the rover pictured will have the small aviation wheels tucked under the main wheel assemblies. The better to absorb low gravity high jumps. I've been working at rover suspension for a while as well... no where near happy with where I'm at atm. Hope the image helps. Much cheers to all.
