  1. I bet you do, however, whatever you did, it did the trick. Messages for the R&D biomes now get called reliably. Thank you for your continued assistance in allowing mods to make a great game even better.
  2. Let's not start 64 bit discussions everywhere in the forums, shall we?
  3. Have you tried with the pre release or have you pulled directly from the repo?
  4. In the mean time I'll post here: We're having an Issue with CrowdSourcedScience, in particular the R&D biomes. Whenever we try to add a result for any of the R&D biomes it gets added as a KerbinSrfLanded report and any Report at R&D is defaulted to that situation. I've gone in and edited squads ScienceDefs.cfg for testing and in a stock install I got a test message for KerbinSrfLandedR&D triggered reliably. In turn, MM has to be responsible, at least somewhat. My best guess is that it hicks up with the "&"-sign, probably overreading or missporting it into the game. Any ideas? I could provide a logfile, however it is pointless as this issue does not get tracked there.
  5. I just did: it's MM. I've tried to create a report for R&D in a pure stock install directly in the ScienceDefs.cfg and it triggered correctly reliably. I'll take this over to the MM thread, however since sarbian signed off I'm not expecting this to work soon if ever
  6. Here's the List for KSC Location Biomes: https://github.com/harryyoung/CrowdSourcedScience/blob/master/planets/kerbin/ksc/locationslist.txt I'll send it over with the next pull (I'll do some content first) There's one issue that cropped up: I cannot adress any of the R&D Biomes correctly. All lines that are considered for this get redirected to default. I'm assuming this is due to the "&"-Symbol in the adress part, I'm just not sure if it is MM or the game itself that locks up here.
  7. Nothing, as I indicated I'm still in the sorting phase. This is just a folder layout at this point. I intend to do some research later today and sort off the Kerbin System. If everything goes as I hope it will A running version should be available within the year, probably earlier than monday evening (UTC)
  8. I'll think of something on that end. Also I ment to include a link to my repo: https://github.com/harryyoung/CrowdSourcedScience
  9. For those that may not follow the Repo: I've gone ahead and, at this point, sorted all but the Kerbin System by Experiment (and where applyable by biome, some CB entries have direct successors) I intend to finish this up within the Year Including setteling on a final layout (1440 files is quite a lot) I have one Question tho: As for the structure if the Files themselvse they at this point still contain the MM Instructions. I think they should be removed, however I wonder what - if any - they should be replaced by.
  10. I do like this mod, used it a ton in other plays. I'm standing by for now to have verified that there are no bugs and then I'll add it I would also like to contribute, however one of the issues I always had was the shere list of entries one should consider when adding new ones (so Eve's Oceans are not considered Mercury on one experiment and purplified water on another) Having it all in one list sure has it's advantages, however I wonder: 1: Could you set up the repo so that there is a 2 subfolder levels: level one for each planet and a default folder and level two for the biomes. Inside that would be cfg's per Experiment, these including all situations. 2: Could you set up the cfg's so that MM first clears the experiment's results and then goes trough all the cfg's just to add the new ones? (Fix Bugs first) 3: Failing 2 for whatever reason could you create an external script that would go trough all the individual cfg's and compile a master cfg for use in the game?
  11. Didn't notice that, I'll post a dump probably tomorrow, but as of now that might be just for reference. I just loaded all my mods over to ubuntu, and the autotagging worked fine. I Missed that Setting, works fine now, thx.
  12. Hello, I really love this mod for it's simplicity in finding the Parts you need at a given time. definately a must have, however there are 2 things that Bug me (pun intended) 1.: I'm using a number of part adding mods (Interstellar, B9 and KW to name the largest). Whenever I'm updating any partrelated mod or this mod I rebuild the DB, usually because I can't reuse the old one for some reason. Now when I let it autotag i get a streight CTD without any dump whatsoever. I have to disable some mods and readd the in one by one to get the autotagging done. With each restart taking about 2-3 Minutes thats not fun at all. Therefore I'm wondering if it would be possible to create an external Program, taht'll create the catalog by simply scanning the GameData for part.cfg's using lua rules. so I'm not going to crash my game multiple times during a Maintenance session for just this one mod. 2.: Some of the mods add aditional Fuel Types (in My case especially Interstellar and TAC-LS) In the late TechTree that Results in the list of Tags being to long to be fully displayed. An option to scroll here would be very welcome. Otherwise keep up the good work!
  13. Would be totally okay. It's the way my sheet work anyways
  14. Looks very promising. Good call on flipping the situations to the X-Axis, leaves more sace for added experiments ^^ Now back to apologising to all my brasilian friends for completely overrunning their team... Edit: Correction: Bagging for forgiveness
  15. Hey, I've been looking at this plugin for a few minutes now. I really like the Science Monitor, as it gives a quick overview as to what science can be gained with the tools that are currently available. As for the Library, I see room for improvement. In Particular, I don't like that the library just displays a list of experiments with their values. The game library is just a wee bit better in terms of astethics, bit I don't like that either. What I prefer is to haver a table taht lists all the experiments in their various situations Per Planet and Biome if appliable. I've done a spreadsheet a while back for myself, that suits my thinking in that way (Spoiler ahead): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lxhzIODeJuHoWVwLebcZIF-EI68oOVGwYApXDPga3E8/edit?usp=sharing Quick explanation: The sheet has seperate pages for each body. The experiments are listed on the X-Axis while the Situations are listed per Biome on the Y-Axis. So if I want to check, what Science is still available I select the planet and scroll trough the biomes to see, which blanks are not yet filled. This is way faster to grasp than reading trough a list. Also, it'd be good to have the abitity to blacklist certain experiments that do not generate science by situation. For instance SCANsat pop's up as an experiment, but generates science based on the completeness of the map, and not by situation.
  16. Hello everyone, I hope this isn't posted in an off place here. After playing KSP just for fun for some time I strated looking at what science was there to get in the game. With all the Biomes, Planets, Heights and experiments, it's easy to get lost. And while the Science Archives do a good Job at keeping track (at least 'till they meet Planet Factory) It doesn't really show you what science is still tere to be gained. So I started looking for Spreadsheets, that would show me where I still could do science, and while I worked with some of them, none were really satisfying. Considering this, I followed the old saying: If you want it right, you got to do it yourself. Therefore I present my Science Spreadsheeds for anyone who's willing to use them. There are two versions of them, one purely stock, and one including the stock Custom Biomes. The spreadsheets are categorised into Planets/Planetary systems, and show the Height by Biome on the Y-Axis and the Available Experiments on the X. Only the Stock Experiments are included at this time. Be Aware that these Spreadsheets can be considered as spoilers, so if you want to find things out for yourself, you might not want to use these. I hereby release these Spreadsheets under CC-BY-SA 2.0 so you can make copies for yourself and redistribute enhanced versions. To Stock Sheet To Custom Biomes Sheet
