  1. At the moment in ksp i am addicted to asteroids. So far i have redirected one, landed one at the ksc and most recently i have... thrown one at jool!!!!!! unfortunately, i thought they were indestructible but it turns out it you throw into jool it poofs out of exscistance i was just wondering, what things have you done with your asteroids?
  2. That is probably because you are landing to hard, i make my landings at like two or three m/s to be safe.
  3. Ksp i think is a game where your main world is a sandbox world, it is not like minecraft where your main world is survival and you probably never go on your creative mode, but i think it is different in ksp because career is in such an early stage once you have maxed out the tech tree it pretty much becomes a sandbox game.
  4. ahem* i'm twelve and i have gone to both moons of kerbin, duna and gilly and i can easily orbit without maneuver nodes. I have but two rovers on the mun and i have completed two thirds of the tech tree in career mode. The reason i probably like ksp is because i am mad om science ,but still there are gonna be some 10 year olds out there who have captured an asteroid!
  5. my most frustrating failure was when i went to gilly, before this i had never gone to eve before, not even on a flyby. First i did everything wrong, i didn't get up into an orbit around kerbin I decided to do it from an orbit round the sun so it took me ages to get a maneuver node into contact with eve. Then when i went to Eve and circularized and made my orbit equatorial and tried to get an encounter with gilly. There was one big mistake i made in this and that was that my orbit was going in the entire wrong direction to gilly so i decided to abandon the mission where it was.
  6. I watched a program about solar arrays in space and they said that transmitting the electricity back from space using microwaves is insufficient. They said that even a small bit of cloud cover can almost completely block out the microwave signal and because of the natural resistance of the atmosphere you would be loosing lots of electric charge on the way making it inefficient.
  7. I want to know how to get to the mun without using maneuver nodes. A small paragraph tutorial would be helpful. I am asking this question because for some reason i hate using maneuver nodes. I have no idea why but i hate using them and i hate it when i see a youtuber using maneuver nodes to get into a simple orbit i get really angry with for some reason? I am interested to see if anyone hates maneuver nodes as well. hasty6

    Ksp spinoffs

Does anyone know of any ksp sipinoffs (basically where an awesome game is created and one developer goes hey thats a great idea for a game i'll make one like that myself). The only one i know of is called simple rockets. It's a game for ios and android and to put it simply it is pretty much 2d ksp with quite a lot of features held back. It is a very nice game with lots of challenges but there is only about 20 parts to build ships with but i will recommend it. The good thing though is that at the bottom of the menu it actually advertise ksp saying if you like this game you will love ksp. Thats good because a lot of spin offs take all the credit for themselves. it would be interesting to know if there are any others:)
  9. Thanks for the help, though it would be cool if they did leave craters and you could actually find them lying around the countryside in certain locations (possible easter egg suggestion).
  10. I'm slightly confused about asteroids. when asteroids hit the ground at high speeds i know they don't explode so as there are some asteroids on a collision corse with kerbin theoretically you could just wait for them to land. Is it possible to wait for the asteroid to land and then capture it?
  11. The challenge is simple but quite tricky, land on the dark side of the mun and return back to kerbin. It may sound easy but it is harder than it looks (or i am just a noob at ksp). The rules are as follows: 1. no mods allowed 2. no lights allowed 3. screenshot proof of doing so. (one of your craft on the dark side of the mun and one back at kerbin) 4. it should be complete nightime. No flicker of sun over the horizon. word of warning: when i tried it i got paranoid of where the ground was so i burnt excessive fuel so even if i had managed to land it (i panicked and crashed) i would not of had enough fuel to get back home. Keep your cool. have i go at it and put me to shame.
