  1. I hear the planets and moons are on rails. Can someone c/d?
  2. Considering we haven't gotten to 0.24 yet, I don't think anyone knows the answer to this. (But it still won't be happening) Rather than something pointless like this, I'd rather continue my dream of upping the physics simulation so that while you are in an orbit of say, Laythe, Jool's SoI would still be affecting you.
  3. If you're in career mode, docking / space stations take a little bit to have all their parts unlocked. So I am going to second either Minimus or the Mun. The former is my first suggestion because it is going to be easier for you.
  4. However, this is risk in what is relatively to be accomplished. First, I'd like to see a citation for the Apollo astronauts, with that said, even 33% is astronomically high compared to the sub-1% chance we're talking about here.
  5. There's so much talk about this and the "habitable zone" and it being "earth sized". But people seem to forget that two of the three earth-sized planets in the habitable zone in this solar system are not exactly friendly places.
  6. This is one of the main things that bugs me about Mars One. Unless you really want to learn about how quickly humans will die or go blind on Mars, there isn't much of a compelling reason to go there. If you want ease, something that is within our grasp, and a lot cheaper, a Lunar program would make far more sense. If you want something that would give a larger benefit to having humans on the surface, there are numerous other candidates. Hell, I could totally get beyond a Titan colony. I don't even care about dying Horrible if I could look up and see Saturn hanging in the sky just once.
  7. I've been playing the game since about v0.11 (I remember I started before the Mun). Sure there have been some stops and starts, but I still haven't gotten bored of it yet. It certainly feels like much more of a complete game now. However, its always been mainly up to you to make your own goals. The game started prior to Early Access existing on Steam. This was also before every other game was saying "Early Access - Alpha Mode, current features: You can start the game and stand in a blank white cube. Saving coming soon!" For better or worse, it was likely one of the games that paved the way for these things (along with earlier success, like Minecraft and Mount & Blade).
  8. Biomes are not the problem here, it is the experiments. Biomes on their own are a great idea, as it starts to give reason to go to various parts of the planet / moon. The game should be looking at more ways to make planets interesting as a whole, and not less.
  9. The lack of having to publish scientific data in a respectable peer reviewed journal really takes me right out of the game. What I really want is not quite to have it changed yet. But I want there to be more things to do on and around planets. What are those? I am not sure.
