  1. KAS would also allow Apollo 12 style part return contracts where you have to land by an existing spacecraft and recover parts from it.
  2. Thank you! That should make this ridiculously fun mod even better
  3. This mod supports Karbonite? Do I have to activate somehow as I haven't seen any contracts come up for it.
  4. Yes, I get that as well. It seems to be a bit random as well, sometimes it's okay, other times it's like he's been thrown out at high speed.
  5. I've got that too, although it didn't seem as bad when I was around Minimus. Again stock, no mods in career mode.
  6. There has been no lack of heating for 14 years.
  7. Please provide evidence that "AGW fanatics" have no problem with excess consumer consumption. Please also state how their attitude affects the science surrounding AGW.
  8. I just want to emphasise that this is massively incorrect: http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/volcanowatch/archive/2007/07_02_15.html
  9. No, I just want to know what your definition of intelligence is.
  10. That's such a patronising thing to do. However as the first words in the first paragraph of the first link are "Intelligence has been defined in many different ways" I'm going to ask you again. How would you define intelligence.
  11. Ask anyone, from a child to a physics professor, to draw you a planet and they'll start by drawing a circle. It's the one thing everyone can agree on. And I'm not advocating a return to it's original meaning, merely pointing out it is an old word that has never been scientifically defined, therefore an attempt to design a definition that applies only to those objects that have been previously called planets is unlikely to be either scientific or sensible.
  12. There was no astronomical one before 2006 either. I'm fine with moons being described as planets, but meteoroids tend not to achieve hydrostatic equilibrium.
  13. Just remember the following couple of things when dealing with the German language and the culture: 1. If six people go out to dinner be careful. Do not ask for "einen Tisch für sechs" as many English speakers mispronounce "sechs" as "...". Instead, asking for "einen Tisch für Geschlechtsverkehr" will confirm your intention to eat out. 2. Germans can be disturbingly comfortable with nudity and will strip off in hot weather at the slightest opportunity. This is normal for them so if you complain on a hot day that "Ich bin heiß", you can feel free to strip off as far as you are comfortable. These are, of course, jokes, but frankly I'm just proud enough to have learnt enough of the language to make jokes about it. Just don't do what I did and suggest you enjoy looking at the girls in the local gymnasium. There's a mistranslation that can go horribly wrong...
  14. Ten seconds on google can give you all the information you need. And a vote that involves the membership of around 5% of the eligible voters, unanimous or not, is not what I'd call credible.
  15. Again you exclude the entire geophysics and geology field, a group who probably spend more time studying planets & moons than astronomers. I think they're a little more than just "insignificant fringe opinions".
  16. I'd very much like to promote Ceres and any other body that doesn't support fusion and has achieved hydrostatic equilibrium. The idea that it's all about Pluto is a strawman designed to make people look emotional or irrational.
  17. I couldn't agree more, which is why I don't understand the need to produce a contorted definition that conforms to the historic use. - - - Updated - - - No, I'm familiar with the history of astronomy.
  18. Are you including professional geophysicists and geologists as "random people on the internet"?
