We could be here all night if we do Armageddon. In the opening sequence the dinosaur killing asteroid hits the wrong spot at the wrong angle and the reason I know it's the wrong place is because the continents are unchanged from today. Also the size the narrator gives for the explosion is woefully small (it probably sounded big) before the impact proceeds to consume the world with fire. So that's five errors in the opening scene alone. It's possibly the worst film for science ever made.

That's why you can comfortably sit in a sauna at 90C but not a jacuzzi at the same temperature.

Although as it was set in an alternative reality where NASA kept the space shuttle and built a new one called Explorer, it's not inconceivable they would have moved Hubble closer to the ISS so they could continue to service it within range of the ISS post-Columbia. They did consider moving Hubble apparently.

I've left Donmon Kerman on the surface of Eve for over 200 days. And when I say he's on the surface I mean he's on the surface. I forgot to put a ladder on his lander and his jetpack isn't powerful enough to lift him up to the hatch.

Surrounded by such a large water mass, a supercontinent could find itself inundated with massive hurricanes on a regular basis. That could bring a lot of water inland and any higher ground inland would continue to produce precipitation.

Hi everyone, I just found Kerbal thanks to the XKCD cartoon, and I'm hooked! I'm enjoying the serious challenges of space missions and loving the insanity of creating truly ridiculous rockets! I've already landed on the mun leading to me being sufficiently distracted to not notice that Jebidiah's ship was skipping the atmosphere and about to come down, leading to a last minute rescue mission at 60000m requiring an EVA to rescue him in the dark I'm now trying to get a 25 minute burn to Jool to work...
