  1. Does anyone know where to comment on jrbuddas' KER fork for KSP 1.7. I'm having the same problem as Homer above.
  2. Hey all. When NH flew by Pluto/ Xaron, there was a NASA eyes on the solar system thing that you could watch realtime as the flyby was happening. I halfheartedly looked back through the thread to see if I could find it. Does anybody have any idea how to make that go again? I remember it really made the flyby fun. Thanks
  3. Excellent as always KSP forum. Thanks for your help. Answered twice in less than 10 minutes.
  4. Yep. Old forum rule, read further down the page to see if someone else is having your problem. Com tron 88 (my favorite) is not a relay antenna. OK this thread is now hijacked at the posters request into 'how to embed images in the new forum format'. I tried insert other media but that just turns red and won't go.
  5. Hey all. I've been away for a while, but I bought the DLC during the holiday sale. I've built a serious comm network before, but only once, soo I'm n00bish there. Hmm Forum won't let me embed images. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1186379176 So I threw up a good enough most times, easy, lazy guy comm net for sandbox testing porpoises.. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1600770648 Which also includes a Minmus equatorish orbiter. I'm prepping to land a small rover on Minmus and when it's shadowed from Kerbin by Minmus I get no signal, even though there is a Relay sat, clearly above the horizon with contact to Kerbin, clearly above the horizon and in view of my dumb dead lander. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1602088259 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1602104275 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1602152688 Here's the relay.. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1603215653 Here's the lander still attached to the transfer booster and the skycrane. Sorry about the lighting, I can't maneuver because THERE"S NOH SIGNAL. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1603215905 Antenneai (ee eiai?) are all extended. What am I missing. Thanks in advance.
  6. Hey leezak. Welcome. Uhh I've been away for a while but I'm pretty sure you're using an old version of ScanSat, since the 1.6 update is so new. During the holidays, the mod makers may be unusually slow, spending time with family, but rest assured, current versions of the mods will be up soon. I'm sure the updated version will solve your problem. Good luck!
  7. Man. That's a yuuge disappointment. We spent years creating the Orion thread. A labor of love intended to show the long, incremental process of making a space project happen, and now it's been merged and renamed into another thread. That's enough to make me not return to the KSP forum.
  8. SLS engine test article is loaded on the Pegasus barge for a trip to Marshall Space Flight Center for structural testing. https://www.nasa.gov/exploration/systems/sls/multimedia/engine-section-test-article-loaded-on-barge-pegasus
  9. A relevant, semi tongue in cheek comment by Neil. Disregard the video title pls.

  11. Travel time is more related to the density of the bodies. Mass = volume * density. "Period of a circular orbit (T) is 2 π * sqrt(r3/(Gm)) where m is mass of planet.Mass can be expressed as ρ * volume where ρ is density. 2 π * sqrt(r3/Gm) = 2 π * sqrt(r3/(G * 4/3 *π * r3 * ρ).The r3 cancels out and we're left with T = sqrt(π/(G * 4/3 * ρ).Thus trip times for a given separation rely solely on density. Period scales with inverse square root of density."

  13. NASA performs Orion abort parachute test. Sorry, can't find it on YouTube yet. http://www.space.com/35979-nasa-orion-capsule-parachutes-down-after-abort-sequence-simulation-video.html And the first SLS second stage arrives at the Cape. http://www.universetoday.com/132259/1st-sls-2nd-stage-arrives-cape-nasas-orion-megarocket-moon-launch-2018/

  15. Jebus. Does anyone have anything to discuss about KSP, or Rocket related crap?? There is so much bad stuff in the world. Go troll someone who deserves it if you have to. Grow the %#*@ up!
