  1. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 Home | CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 3090 | RAM: 64 Severity: medium Frequency: high System Specs: Cpu: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 3090, RAM: 64 Gb, OS: Windows 10 Home Description: Whenever decoupling a part from a rocket, every strut on the decoupled part will break regardless of whether it spanned the broken connection and needed to break for the decouple to take effect. This is especially frustrating with large, composite vehicles where multiple functioning subassemblies need to decouple from the core vehicle. The type of decoupler doesn't seem to matter, even docking ports have this issue. I have not tested the issue when breaking a connection that was not created by docking two craft together. The "Core" of the vehicle seems to be determined by whatever part was considered to be the assembly anchor when it launched. The issue only seems to happen ~90% of the time. It seems to be completely random, but occasionally struts will remain intact as they should. Larger vehicles with more struts seem more marginally likely to have this issue than smaller ones. Reproduction steps: Design and launch a simple craft with struts on an outer stage. Decouple the outer stage. All of the struts attached to that stage will likely break regardless of whether it makes sense for them to do so. ^If the struts did not break during step 2, revert to launch and repeat until they do. 2. I used Solidworks in class, but mainly Creo during my co-op semesters.
  3. Yep. That's how it is sometimes. "Sure, boss. Whatever you say," Then turn around and do something that actually makes sense.
  4. Banned because I haven't banned something in a while.
  5. So, I haven't been on this forum in a while. I burned out on KSP a few years ago, and since I was starting college I had other priorities. However, a few months ago I officially graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering, and in part I have this game to thank for inspiring me to pursue this path. Unfortunately, with current events™ the Aerospace industry has taken a bit of a hit, so I'm still looking for a job (By the way, does anyone here happens to be looking to hire a structural FEA or Systems engineer in the Aerospace field?). Today though, I happened across this gem of a job posting: To my knowledge, KSP can only mean one thing, and although they're asking for someone with a lot more experience, that alone has convinced me to put in an application. So, wish me luck!
  6. Wow. After all these years, this thread is still going. Also, that image is quite the coincidence, since my family is having spaghetti tonight. Antipasta. Anti-pasta... Look, it's funny to me, ok?
  7. @CatastrophicFailure, remember a few months ago when I wrote that Faux Cyrillic generator, but you weren't able to open it? Well, I recently became a bit ambitious about learning c#, so if you're ok with downloading random .exe files from strangers on the internet, here you go: https://github.com/vaporo/FakeCyrllicGenerator/blob/master/FauxCyrillic.zip
  8. If you don't have Office, then don't bother. The "translator" works using VBA, which is a language that runs almost exclusively as part of Office, plus it references some Excel-exclusive properties. It won't work in any other program. However, VBA is very similar to JavaScript, which is relatively portable... Hmmmmm. maybeeeee... (Gears start turning inside head).
  9. Yeah, an xlsm file is just an Excel file with macros. Excel is perfect for this kind of thing. I'm hoping that CatastrophicFailure can open it.
  10. Well, you've lucked out, then. ӍЄЯЯҰ ЬЇЯԎЋDДҰ! https://github.com/vaporo/FakeCyrllicGenerator/blob/master/Fake Cyrillic.xlsm A fake cyrillic generator with fully customization output. No promises on reliability, though. VBA is a bit glitchy when handling some unicode characters. Hopefully, this will be useful.
  11. Well, you've finally gone and finished it. I'll be expecting that novel soon, now.
  12. CatastrophicFailure, you need to write a proper book someday. Your writing just keep getting better and better.
  13. (I remember reading those two books years ago in second grade! I used to absolutely love them.)
  14. Granted. You immediately encounter an even better cruiser and are destroyed. I wish that I could understand Calculus.
  15. Definitely visiting all the moons of Jool in one mission. 'Twas an incredible feat of patience to watch my 1300 part supership crawl skyward at about 1 fps.
  16. Hey, could you relink my skybox (Vaporo's Blue Galaxy Skybox) directly to my forum thread? The current link leads to my post in the old Texture Replacer thread, which has a broken download link that I can't seem to edit. Here's the link to the forum thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/90625-vaporos-blue-galaxy-skybox/
  17. Texture Replacer doesn't actually use the ENV maps anymore, except maybe as a legacy/performance feature. They're only still in the download because having them doesn't hurt anything. I've updated the installation instructions to make that clear.
  18. Hello. My mod (Vaporo's Blue Galaxy Skybox) has the CKAN tag enabled. However, the CKAN version doesn't actually exist right now. I would like to remove the CKAN tag, but could not find any tool to do so on either the Update mod or Edit mod pages. Could someone tell me how to remove it?
  19. Well, a CKAN version doesn't actually exist. I was going to create one when I uploaded it to Kerbalstuff, but I was lazy and never bothered. I can't seem to remove the CKAN indicator from Kerbalstuff, so for now I'll just put a note on the description that there is actually no CKAN. I might go ahead and create it, if I get some free time.
