  1. Is this the first instance of Bob Kerman being depicted as wearing glasses? All the other astronauts have their name badges visible, except the bespectacled one, which I think it is safe to presume is Bob? I don't think he has glasses anywhere else, no?
  2. The same thing could be said for all these texture revamps; they've left a toggle to use the legacy for low spec systems. That's like saying don't do any part or planet revamps, because we call all download mods instead.
  3. Nice work all around! I few excellent additions and some great surprises! Does the Magnetometer only work around Moho, or can it take readings all over the system? I rescaled the Klaw when making a Rosetta, really dig having a 0.625 one in stock! That comet looks nice and big, what a gorgeous picture overall with the new stars in the background and all. The flags are so tasty. I used a mod with them years ago, and I really look forward to dressing up my ships to look the part. Very interested in the fairing fine tune changes. The snap-to setting was always a little heavy on them and I think a MM patch exists to lessen the effect. Hopefully there is better fidelity in making fairing shapes. Open ended? VERY nice! Grey fuel ducts is a nice added touch. Thanks! The new Poodle is really really tasty! just the right kind of look with all the fiddlybits a space nerd could want. You sure ruffled alot of feathers making the Poodle into a dual bell, so this is going to make people very happy. Any possibility of non-boattail and bare variants of the single bell?

  7. Needs more clouds! What has been updated on Laythe looks good. Would be nice to see the water shader updated. Also of note is the relatively low res looking Sun glare. Is that getting an art pass anytime soon?
  8. Very cool, thank you folks for including it in the update! One of the best things that happened to KSP was the inclusion of the variant system; it's great to see it making it's way into parts that never had options. Well done!

  12. Very cool! Continually amazed at the life that gets injected into this game. I had the pleasure of making a Rosetta recreation back in the day when it happened. I also saw a press conference with the Rosetta team where a reporter asked the inevitable KSP question and one of the scientists said she liked the game. I pinched my nose and reluctantly made a twitter, and tweeted my screenshot of Rosetta telling her how proud I was of them and that I was following along at home with my dumb KSP version. She actually replied and liked or whatever you do to posts and I got a warm fuzzy inside. It was a charming little connection with a real scientist doing real science stuff half a wold away.   13. Who cares? Its a good thing I don't validate my opinions by comparing with those who feel the same way. I'm far too old for hyyyyyyyyyyype from a videogame, lol.
  14. This next gen future tech is what I am looking forward to the least about this game. I'm totally not interested in Orion drives and science fiction. I just want a KSP 1 to not look like it is a decade old.

  16. I wish the official merchandise being linked on the Main Menu used the KSP 1 logo and not the KSP 2 redesign of it. Sell us KSP2 stuff once you've finished the game.
  17. So we now have an official merch link on the game's main menu. It takes you to the store page on Private Division's webpage. Unfortunately, there are no shapeways figurines on offer. Its basically 3 t-shirts and a flag. Unfortunately they all seem to sport the KSP2 redesign of the classic KSP logo. However, it does look like Shapeways is involved in selling some potentially bootleg, copyright infringing items here and here.
  18. When we first started receiving these planet revamps I noticed something jarring with LOD changes. An example might be descending onto the surface of the Mun where as you descend and the LOD's change, you see giant boulders disappear and craters appear where there was nothing before. It almost feels like each LOD was created without the transitions between them being taken into consideration, or perhaps this is a consequence of stretching 2d over 3d or something technical. Here is an example of the LOD changes that I think don't look that great: Does that look weird to anyone besides me?

I'd also like to say thank you for including those new stock craft, particularly the Breaking Ground ones like the Arrow-E, as their throttle usage is the most intuitive setup I've seen yet for propeller planes. Hopefully I'll be able to reverse engineer them and finally be able to make something useful with the Robotics. I wish they had been included at the DLC's release.
  20. I guess its the line between a near and a far camera... the game apparently renders what appears to be a normal scene using 2 cameras. Over the years, the line where the two cameras meet has varied between visible and not visible and various serveries of each. Let me try to take an example screenie. Okay here are two examples I just made real quick. https://imgur.com/a/vDQ7vw0 You should be able to see a horizontal line clearly running the width of the screen. The severity of its appearance changes. For example, on the launchpad no line was visible at all.
  21. Thank you. I posted that to the bug tracker a year ago, and it got absolutely no traction with a lowly 2 upvotes (pretty sure 1 of those is mine). I didn't expect it to receive any attention, but I am very thankful that it did. It gives me hope that indeed posting to the bugtracker is a good thing to do. Every patch you guys have fixed one of my posted bugs. Thanks again. Now to give the update a try! Edit: Okay, I really like dual Skippers: I just took a craft to orbit to check out Ultra Kerbin and I have to say the camera line on the way up is back and looks worse than ever. It looks quite a bit thicker than usual and very unaliased. In orbit its not there and Kerbin does indeed look gorgeous. Also, the "Official KSP Merchandise" link on the main menu is new right? For those wondering, it directs the user to here: https://store.privatedivision.com/en_US/merchandise Experienced some interesting LOD transition between new Kerbin textures. Gian squares of higher res terrain on top of what should've been there. I'll see if it keeps happening. This is with new Kerbin Ultra shader.
