  1. Oh no!... Wednesday! Lisa Loring, the actress best known for portraying Wednesday Addams in “The Addams Family,” died of a stroke on Sunday night. She was 64 years old.
  2. I play Squad. I like it. If you're spending a lot of time walking it's likely because of poorly experienced leadership and lack of teamwork and communication. Most squad leaders I've had the misfortune to work under lack any real tactical experience or training. Throw multiple such leaders into the mix, and then allow them to pick a commander between themselves, and it's a recipe for disaster. A scattered few whom I've played with who have some manner of real military training (tactical and/or combat experience), has made for an entirely different round in the game. I should mention, these guys all tend to be over the age of 30. Perhaps that is the difference.
  3. That did not occur to me, so I'll go take a look. It's likely set to '1' as the double caret doesn't expand it further. Thanks!

    Two Juno!

Cool video. When I Googled "cri cri plane", one of things in the results was 'What is Cri Cri made of?' ... so of course I had to look. Thinking carbon fiber or some such thing, I was a bit surprised at the answer; "...a whole hazelnut covered in dark chocolate and rolled in crunchy bites of sugar!" Ok. I can work with that.
  5. Wow... how did I miss this one? RIP Saw him with Link Wray in a NYC club back in 1983 (Warren Zevon was sitting next to me at the next table, he's gone too). Awesome show, I'll never forget it.
  6. Haven't played in a long time. Updated to KSP v1.12.3, plus Breaking Ground v1.7.1, and added KAC (along with ModuleManager, HullCameraVDS, and ScanSAT)... all of which I rely heavily on. A minor issue I'm having, KAC seems to only want to show me 1 alarm even when I've got multiple set. I have to scroll the window to see the rest, 1 line at a time. I can't find any way to expand the window, unless I'm missing something, I thought it did it by default and only began scrolling after display 10 or more lines (or something like that). No, I do not have it set to just show the current vessel. Any ideas? I know this thread is old. Sorry. Where else to go?
  7. Male or female, one should wash before and after. That's experience, and good parenting.
  8. Well it didn't exactly happen today, but it was funny... so funny that I laughed so hard I almost threw up. While on vacation this past year in the Republic of Georgia, I took my grandsons to the dinosaur display (for kids) at the mountain top Mtatsminda Park. It's a very popular landmark in the capitol city of Tbilisi. Walking through the exhibit, the various dinosaurs (some of them animatronic) have sensors that play a 'dinosaur sound' and make it move when you get close to them. Very low budget Disney thing. We came across one that played a submarine dive alarm as its dinosaur sound (Wikipedia Commons ogg sound file). You had to be there. The grandsons couldn't figure out what was wrong with grandpa.
  9. His facial acne aside, without seeing his back my initial guess would be seborrheic keratosis (which can itch). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seborrheic_keratosis
  10. Not a book, but none-the-less interesting with some really fantastic photography (if you've never seen these vids before)... https://www.youtube.com/c/microcosmos/videos
  11. Haven't been here in a good while. Stopped in to grab the latest version 1.12.2 and figured I'd wave hello. So, hello, from the Republic of Georgia. I'm here on a 6 month vacation with my wife. We've been traveling all over the place, spending August in Batumi for example. This past week we went up to Kazbegi, to visit the Gergeti Trinity Church and Dariali Monastery Complex. The trip put me at the Lars Checkpoint, beyond which was Russia. Closest I've ever been to Russia. A few pictures are in the spoiler below.
  12. Playing as the Mecs was fun. Playing as Delphi was even more fun... it totally rocked! Playing as Kabuto was a let-down.
  13. Actually, every time I hear those ambient sounds it reminds me of Giants: Citizen Kabuto ... because they're exactly the same.
  14. Answer: Yes Long time ago when I first started playing. My first "big" space station. It got smashed by an orbiting booster stage that I failed to de-orbit... it only happened because I had switched to the station just before the debris came within the 2km range. Had I not, it would have just passed through 'on rails'.
  15. Humm... as in I have a vessel I built called "Lander", and I rename it "Lander Alpha" on the pad just before launch, and I send it on its way... and then I pull up the same vessel again, and I rename it "Lander Beta" on the pad just before launch, and I send it on its way..... etc. ? If that's what you mean, if that's the case, then it explains part of the problems (behaviors) I've been experiencing... maybe.
  16. I went and grabbed the latest update (v1.12.1), and I'm finding the alarms for a number of things are being skipped as well as some strange behaviors. The strange behaviors are related to time warping. When warping to the next alarm, not the active vessel, I find the warp advancing, and then suddenly I'm back at the start. The behavior is inconsistent. In one instance, not believing my eyes, I clicked on warp three times and was returned to the start all three times. If using the active vessel, warping to next alarm (with default 1 minute advance before the 'target' time, and no other alarms set) I find myself coming in about 10 seconds late. I'm also having alarms being skipped, again, even with the 'add burn time to' deactivated... several maneuver nodes, and a number of SOI changes. I've now got little green guys'n'gals hopping mad, adrift with no way home, wanting answers... I've directed them to you. I've also had alarms go off where I click on the 'jump to ship' (and then close and delete the alarm window), and I'm still at the current vessel - no 'jump to' was performed. My exact words were: "HUH?!?" What I don't have, at the moment, is time to try and track down actions that might be contributing to these things. Sorry guys, but this is still quite broken.
  17. No mods in use here, running plain vanilla.
  18. I'm having an issue with the map view, or rather returning from the map to normal view. I don't seem to recall this being the case with previous versions, or have I forgotten that much?; Out in space, viewing my ship, press the map key... then immediately return to the ship view again and find myself out of view range (typically 8 mouse wheel scrolls back in to the previous viewpoint). Doesn't matter what view mode (chase, free, orbit, etc), the result is the same. It's..... annoying.
