Welcome! I'm excited to see all of your missions and accomplishments! Where are your LPs? I'd like to see them.

Welcome, Zorgoth1! I'm glad to see another shadow joining us for all the fun! What is this deltaV I keep hearing about? Do you know of a good article to read about it more?

Hello to you from a fellow aviation worker. I'm an AMT by trade, so I'm sure you and I can agree that there are tons of things to love about this game, and a few aerodynamic/flight characteristics that are just a little frustrating. :-P Anyway, welcome aboard and enjoy your time here! -Ryan

2 seconds. I like it!

Very Nice! I'd love to fly one of those. Looks smooth and easy to fly. Great job!

I personally haven't tried the asteroid mission, but I've seen it done. It takes a lot of patience (and quicksaves if you like doing that). Also, I'd highly recommend practicing docking maneuvers with a space station or satellite until it's second nature. That'll help you with those finesse maneuvers.

You know you're a noob in KSP when...

The main engines and parachute in the same stage...after playing KSP for over a year. -
Thanks! I've always been more of a vanilla gamer, wanting to play games in only their purest forms, no matter how buggy or unromantic, but I might try a few here. I'm playing on a 2011 desktop Mac, so I'm not really capable of doing too many mods. My gaming PC decided it didn't want to play anymore, so I have to stick with Mr. Mac.

Hello! I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Ryan and I've been playing KSP off and on for over a year now (back when the VAB was red). You wouldn't be able to tell, though, if you watched my Let's Play. I don't have it down to a science, and I probably never will. It's not as exciting to me if everything is calculated. The fun with this game is that it has the semi-realistic physics mixed with the cartoonish characters and a layer of unlimited Redo's! I can't wait to meet some of you and see what new and exciting features lay ahead! -Ryan

Getting around the solar system quicker

I know that realistically, there is no way other than to do orbital transfers, intercepts, etc. However, the original post asked: I was addressing the "unlimited power" idea. I agree with you on all the rest. -

Basically, just point and shoot. lead your target and fire away. You have to remember, though, that the amount of fuel and power it takes you to get up to speed will be about the same as what's required to slow you down (firing retrograde). It really becomes a matter of escape velocity around the body in which you're orbiting. If you speed up too much, you'll simply be going too fast for the body to maintain it's "pull" on your ship. Again, if you have enough fuel and power, you don't have to worry about that. You can just power your way to wherever you want. Hope that helps. -Ryan
