  1. Why does a tidally locked planet deserve a polar orbit? Do not all bodies require some sort of inclination to get science in different biomes? I always attempt a prograde capture first, but for flybys (of the mun) I enter retrograde so it slings me back into a kerbin atmospheric capture. It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Edit: I know biomes are all along the equator, but polar orbits always guarantee all the biomes will be hit, as long as your orbit isn't synchronous or resonant with sidereal rotation.
  2. I'm not sure if MechJeb's function will work, but RemoteTech has a built in autopilot that accepts commands that will be executed during comm blackout, provided you have the battery to spare, and you give the command before the blackout occurs. Click the numberpad looking button next to the warp controls to open the RemoteTech autopilot.
  3. I'm an aspiring physics major. This is my first year of college, and I give credit to this game for inspiring me to reach for goals that are in the stars. I started playing in 0.24 about a year ago, and I took a long break. I just recently I got back into this game with 1.0.4, and I have finally acquired enough knowledge to fly efficiently, and to make confident maneuvers without autopilot! Needless to say, I'm about ready to start joining in on more technical discussions. I look forward to being a part of this community!
  4. Banned because I wasn't impressed by your signature.
  5. Kethane was the first mod I ever installed. Thanks for taking it over taniwha! And thanks to Majiir for letting it all continue on!
  6. Hello there, I've been trolling the forums and following the development of this game for a few months now. With the eminent release of 0.24 I had to make a forum account to express my excitement! Great things are happening, and I just had to be a part of it!
  7. I made a forum account just to say HOW EXCITED I AM. Woo!!!
