  1. I will return with greater weapons. Going for a plane entry.
  2. April 8th 2012 (v0.14) after a friend convinced me to get it and we've been playing it ever since. Logged 500hrs in steam and that's nit counting the year I played before switching to steam. Felt a little sad when 1.0 came out that this long journey was coming to an end been an amazing ride. Looking forward to future updates. KSP is a shinning example of what a Pre-Release game should be. No one ever follows trough as thoroughly as Squad has or has more updates. Been 3 years since I started this, reminds me of this quote: "My journey is the same as yours, the same as anyone's. It's taken me so many years, so many lifetimes, but at last I know where I'm going. Where I've always been going. Home. The long way round." 11th Doctor. I feel that we've finally arrived home, congratulations to Squad for the release!
  3. If you use SAS it maintains the orientation, as well as when the chute deploys drag will keep proper orientation. I understand the "you start with nothing mentality" and while I'm can work with it and can do maneuvers with out creating a node, new player cannot so I understand that it should probably be always unlocked. Al least with the World Records you get more money for upgrading facility's. I personally like having everything locked but I would also agree with having 1 or 2 action groups unlocked to start with and them upgrade to get more.
  4. Here are the new controls, I J K L are the new WASD for docking and H N are Shift and control. Pretty easy to use if you do both hands are the keyboard as the controls are in the same configuration so muscle memory helps and you can get more control with being able to do both controls at once. Hope this helps. I tried the old controls and tried to go forward but just ignited the engine and was like "crap, crap ,crap".
  5. I got tired of making a lander every time I needed one so I decided to make one that could do it all. I call it the All Purpose Lander (APL). I can land on water or land, Land and take of vertically, or as a plane. Can be refueled and is perfectly balanced. I present the APL APL Here Fuel Pod Here
  6. Here's my submission, Mini Speedster (Ironically not fast). Max altitude of 36,256 meters, max speed was only about 280 m/s. Landed safly back at the KSC Runway. Album:
  7. I'm going to attempt this today, We'll see how it goes. Will be using this to land on Eve. Should work nicely and will be bring some fuel pods to drop down and refuel it with.
  8. I have a APL (All Purpose Lander) I made don't know if it counts but It uses the pre- 1.0 landing gear but is able to do a Vertical lading and takeoff or just land as a plane and take off as one. The reason being it can land with or with out an atmosphere, land or water, even go from land to water or vise versa. Perfectly balanced and can be refueled while landed in water or land. Have yet to test it in 1.0 news to come. Yep with a little tweaking still works.
  9. Quick test replaced booster engines with S3 KS-25x4 and limited them to 80% thrust since the're ~3800 ISP to get them to what the old engines were. Not the single engines so a little less accurate but only SAS and making sure she stays where you want her pointed was able to roll and fly no problem. -Update- With that and heading 45 degrees at about 7k boosters cut out when Ap hits 89k. Booster Jettison breaks the ship but can be fixed if you remove one set of Seperons from the bottom. All of that with the settings for an empty bay and an able to get into a stable orbit. Going for the Commander Qualification so hopefully this will qualify (If I can land without burning up on re-entry).
  10. Been playing KSP for a little more than 4 years been great to see it come so far and now to be out of pre release. I'm college student studying AstroPhysics, love space and anything to do with it, why I love this game so much. I'm excited to muck around the Forums and try some challenges.
  11. Can't wait to try this, Sweet SLS and shuttle design. News of the mission to follow! Sucsess or Failure, I am confident in my ability's but with the new aerodynamics it might get a little tricky. Love how you honnerd the crew of Apollo 1 trooperMNG.
  12. Would love to see fairings for connecting Mk2 or Mk3 parts to round bases or other mk3 bases. Just with that any "unorthodox" thing I design (Ex. making an hidden ejection pod) I would be able to make it look more natural instead of patching it with metal plates. That's the only suggestion I have at the moment, look forward to playing more 1.0 when I have more time, very excited. Might mess around with challenges on the forums here. Love someone made an SLS one, Mad a stock SLS along with an Orion capsule when information began to be released about it.
