  1. I suppose it being this doors attaching the fuel lines from the ET to the orbiter? I remember the kerbalized KSOS Shuttle having these doors, but it's up to benjee if SOCK gets it.
  2. Just to inform you man on the latest release 1.8.6 of Blueshift and on KSP 1.12.3, the warp drive still works perfectly but is not displaying the warpfield waterfall FX as it used to in the past.
  3. Eyyy blackrack, would I suggest and encourage you to try and fly something in to the upper atmosphere of Jool to let us see how these new true volumetric clouds hold up rendering in gas giant environments? my thanks
  4. ayyyo its my birthday in this timezone and the full release of the AS revamp is such a doozy big thanks
  5. Would it be possible for a nosecone door variant without a docking port? I'd like to use the benjee apas and bdb cads systems on this thing to nosedock with other vessels, and I couldn't figure out a solution that fits the default nosecone door. thanks
  6. Is it just me or Tekto with 2.5x Rescale has the surface made of lava, instakilling everything touching down even at 0.1m/s? I first noticed with the Coatl Huygens, then further tested it out, the surface of Tekto on my install seems to be eating anything touching down on it.
  7. Awesome AARs man, but something I noticed with your pics and also previous posts... I seem to recall from my days of simming whole Apollo missions with AMSO in Orbiter 2006 and reading NASA docs, didn't the crew activate the LM (turning on stuff like antennas and comms, and extending LDG) before LOI to check if the LM is bad and they would go mission abort with the free return trj if so?
  8. made this last years man when they were starting to think of a wishlist for the Apollo-Saturn revamp, hope it helps
  9. oh hey that's kinda awesome what you sketched there man just what I'm really looking for, would be nice if plans for it also has a b9 switch for 1.5x to 2x length kind of like the adapter between the orion and SLS block 1a config in this old SLS concept image, so yeah that cylindrical CSM adapter looks really cool, and i for one, vouch for it to be implemented, thanks cheers
  10. Awesome work guys, however is it possible for the SLA to have an lengthened version, however fictional it may be? long tank Saturns with their humongous payload capacity are extremely awesome and interesting but i find it frustrating in how I am only limited to only functionally the LEM being put under the CSM, limiting what I can bring up with it and what to do with Apollo. yep i know about procedural fairings interstage adapters, or the stock proc fairings, but i'd like for more something more within the BDB art style or like BDB SAF fairings, even if they don't work like SAF, we have B9 partswitch for lengths even for tankages i mean. even a half S-IVB or S-IVB length extended SLA would be awesome, my 2c cheers
  11. Wasn't this the behavior of the SLA a few updates ago? I remember playing BDB on KSP 1.2.2 and the Saturn SLA could be closed and tweakscaled, allowing for Bird 1/You Only Live Twice recreations.
  12. https://www.orbiter-forum.com/threads/orbiter-is-now-open-source.40023/ think this may be relevant, the predecessor to KSP is now open source lads
  13. Holy smokes great stuff man! But me being a nitpicky guy and seeing that Orion high-gain antenna, can you make it animate that it always tracks Kerbin, like the Mariner 10 HGA in BDB and the Dragonfly HGA in the Bumblebee mod? I remember seeing renders where the HGA was pointed and was tracking Earth in that Constellation lunar landing render. But all to that, really great stuff shown here man!
  14. There was talk back in 2014 that NASA will use J-2X on the EUS before they settled on using quad RL10s in 2016. Would be nice to have that kind of flexibility with an x1/x2 engine mount for the current EUS model using the reDirect J-2X. thanks!
  15. Oh and one more thing may I suggest? Could the EUS have a 1x or 2x engine mount for us to simulate those EUS proposals that used either 1 or 2 J-2X engines? reDirect also provides a J-2X, so no need for a new engine just a new mount... cheers, man!
  16. Great work man! I'll asking if we could get segmented versions of that like the reDirect SRBs and the BDB UA120X, specifically one with similar length to Space Shuttle 4-seg SRBs, to add a fictional payload improvement on the SOCK shuttle. Also saw your past work on Shuttle-C, it's great. cheers man!
  17. Sorry guys, but I don't seem to have an attachment node at the bottom of the rocket to add a MLP launch platform. Anybody also having this with the latest version?
  18. goofing around with the Shuttle and due to experience with scenery DEMs used in FS2004/FSX, I was wondering if anything we have now in the KSP mods that would allow for an SRTM radar payload that can be used with SOCK, preferably with Scansat functionality. Or has someone built an analog of it once?
  19. @Alcentar, man I am having issues with the latest version of this. When you open the cargo bay, the wings also seem to swing out in an extremely weird way... I have tried to fix this by installing each wing individually, but it seems the right wing does not have an attachment node on the side. The left wing however, seems to attach normally to the cargo bay, and does not swing out when installed that way. I had hope someone will have an attachment node config for the right wing, and/or a fix for this....
  20. Guys, would like to know what you use as Reentry Vehicles (that look realistic?) when using BDB rockets for less peaceful purposes. Jupiter MRBM and Titan II I can make things that look real up, but idk what to use as a nosecone with Atlas and Thor...
  21. After further tinkering, with the common mods everyone uses here all variants of the USAF Space Launcher System can be recreated to some fidelity here... All payload described use the referential values of an 100x25° orbit in 2.5x Kerbin, which is what I use in trying out launchers.. SLS A-388 "Phoenix" - SLS-A core, 2x UA1205 SRMs - ~11t payload SLS A-410 - SLS-A core, 4x UA1205 SRMs - ~17t payload SLS AB-825 - SLS-B 1st stage, SLS-A 2nd stage, 4x 2-segment SSRB - ~25-30t payload SLS BC-2720 - SLS-C 1st stage, SLS-B 2nd stage, 4x 2-segment SSRB - ~42t payload (This was to launch the Lunex spaceplane to the Moon in USAF plans) Here are the core configurations I used in building the bois... SLS-A: Fatlas B-M-S - Titan I mount tweakscaled to 2.5m - J-2 SLS-B: Atlas CELV B-M-S-T - Titan III mount tweakscaled to 3.125m - 2x J-2, Alternatively Saturn S-IVC mount tweakscaled to 3.125m for 2nd stage applications. SLS-C: Atlas CELV B-M-M-S - Saturn V mount tweakscaled to 3.125 - 2x CryoEngines RS-68 non modified (the highest thrust LH2 engine I can find, mimicking the non-present M-1) Remember to switch fuels to LH2/LOX in each fuel tank... 120in SRM - BDB UA1205s 180in SRM - Phoenix Co. 2 segment Space Shuttle SRBs All core stages are lit following SRB separation just like your daily Titan... (mix and match according to decided specification) Mods used: BDB, Photon Co., CryoEngines, Restock(?) As I have found out, only custom tankage, engine mounts, and perhaps the M-1 is needed for a real BDB USAF SLS if you all awesome guys decide to pursue it...and perhaps the Lunex Project if you ever decide to take on that too. Use creative liberty due to the lack of detailed information? sources http://www.astronautix.com/s/sls.html .....where was that "mig41 flatpack" dude on Cobalt's Saturday stream hehe?
