1. Gonna check the issue, probably something with gravity given as a G-load ASL
2. Да, потому что оттуда убрали пиратский контент, который нарушал правила этого форума.
3. Install Kopernicus, Module Manager and RSS Textures for using the mod v2. I've deleted the v1 version of the mod, so they don't get mixed up. New mod doesn't requires RSS itself, only the textures.
6.
Hey Niemand, Can we get craft files for the Buran from the video? It is really awesome!
Sure :) Download
7.
Is that over the sea of Japan? ... Wow! That's so cool. I love it. Need to make this, stay posted.
Thanks! :) And yes, this is over Japan, though my attempt at making RVE work in 1.0.5 has mostly failed. :)
8. Wow, I found a new thing to make in KSP: the 1993 test flight of a "space mirror" Znamya (Banner), that reminds me heavily of that James Bond movie, but actually had place IRL with making a circular illuminated spot with an 8km diameter which traveled from Southern France to Southern Russia with a brightness equivalent to the full Moon one:
9. A tad of RO: TKS (not Soyuz because I'm bad at timing launches which leads to dV problems) delivers the first crew to Mir in 1.0.5 install! :)
10. And the update is here! Now depends only on RSS Textures! :)
11.
Quick question... The huge round solar panels in the Glushkos Dream vid, what are they from?
NF Solar + Tweakscale. :)
12. Yay! Glad to see it here! :)
Wow, great video. Now this is a question I've been meaning to ask for a long time. How did the Energia compensate for the offset CoM with the Buran on its side? The Buran had no engines to fire through its CoM.
RD-0120 and RD-170 have a pretty good gimbal range, which allows to account for CoM changes throughout the flight. :)
13.
Don't wait for it :/ The devs aren't even willing to give it back more realistic Isp values ( once upon a time the aerospike actually had them, but it was nerfed due to gameplay considerations ( basically it was too good compared with the LV-30 and 45 ( hum , where did I heard that one recently ? ;) ) and everyone was only using aerospikes nd nukes. IMHO there are other ways to balance the engine nowadays , like for a example, aerospikes in RL are harder to keep cool than bell engines, but who am I to say such things ? :P ) and better not talk about other examples, like how there isn't a single SRB in game that has thrust vectoring ( or even how historically the devs always make them underpowered compared with RL .... )
*ahem-ahem* Realism Overhaul *ahem-ahem*
14. I think if exiting Punto Switcher helps, maybe turning off the "auto-switching" feature in it might help too.
15.
Wow! Great video (And a nice bit of history). :)
Thanks! Those are the real photos of the Buran's docking node, Kvant-based spacelab and a robotic arm in a zero-g environment chamber. The lab was tested during the only flight, the robo arm also was present but not activated as the cargo bay was never opened during that flight and the docking adapter wasn't yet placed. :)
Docking adapter SpaceLab Robotic Arm
16. Another of my short KSP cinematics, this one is a routine mission to Mir-2. All music is done by my friend.
17. Congrats with the release! I decided to celebrate today's anniversary of the only Buran flight by making a new video featuring Tantares-based Mir-2
18. Realism comes with RO, not RSS. Also I'm looking towards making a version without RSS requirement, only textures, as NathanKell advised me.
19. Wow, this is utterly amazing! Also, by chance, do you still have that YaRD config? I think It could become a part of RO and a good alternative to NERVA! I wanted to add this engine, but couldn't find any reliable info on it though, only some RD-0410.
20. Wait, is this all in RO/RSS? If so, my grats to you, I rarely got anything into the Moon SOI. Wow, looks really cool! I wish I could RO-fy this properly
21. There wasn't much interest (and it's kinda redundant) so I thought about giving it up, but I can pull a 1.0.4 version if still needed
22. Just a showcase of RO configs I've made, though Soyuz requires a pretty careful reentry. Here is a test in Linux RO/RP-0 install.
23. Wow, the Luna lander looks so cool! You are incredible! Also, I am forgetting to show you this pic, Roscosmos patented an inflatable Progress-based module for ISS!
