  1. Hey all, I believe this thread is missing the big news (or did I miss something?): RP-One 1.2 is out!! Works for 1.6.1 and 1.7.3. RP-1 has not been this recent for a long time. https://github.com/KSP-RO/RP-0/releases Congrats and thanks to the great people contributing to this. BTW: Shouldn't the OP be updated? @rsparkyc - Or do we need a new threat?
  2. Oops. I confused RP-1 and RO. - So I am very happy that RO has been out for months and look forward to RP-1 in 1.6.1 soon.
  3. I do love the precision of this estimate. Seriously, this is a lot of work, depening on many people, many of which have rl concerns making them unavailable from time to time. - So don't feel offended if someone sends a snappy reply. I am very happy that 1.6.1 is coming soon. :).
  4. Short Q: Is it worth to create a fresh install to run RP-1 on KSP 1.6.1 instead of still using 1.3.1? - I am especially interested in performance gains making the game run faster. Thanks!

  10. Hi all, I am wondering, how much would change to run RO without FAR, using the stock aero system? Would that be an option or blasphemy that'll get me a harsh reaction from @raidernick and others? Best, Gustav
  11. Nuclear Rockets Hi all, I am thinking of finally adding nuclear rockets to my crafts. However, I don't know how to actually us them. The only thing they use as propellant is LqdHyrogen, and this boils off rather quickly. So it looks like NERVA etc is useless for interplanetary travel, which would be the exact thing I'd want them to use for. How are you guys dealing with that? Is there acceptable heat control? Or do you just use them to start from LEO? Thanks! Gustav
  12. Also maybe not well-known fact. (At least it took me a while to figure out): Each time you _start_ researching a new tech, you get update points for KCT. (or UPA as it might sonn be called.) 1 gives you the ability to send kerbals to training. I.e. not proficiency means they cannot get mission training. 3. is necessary for missions. Makes more sense now?

  14. Ignition failure I find playing with the frequent ignition failures quite challenging. Looks like otherwise similar engines can be vastly different here. I wonder what would be the right channel to get information about ignition failure rates displayed when middle clicking on the engine in the VAB. - Here? Github testflight? Thanks!
  15. Hi, I am using RP1 and see a lot of ignition failures. I'd like to understand better how the probabilities for this are calculated. I am trying to get the log file messages where there should be messages about testflight ignition failures if debug mode is turned on. (At least that's what the source code suggests to me..) I cannot find those log messages in output_log.txt (Win64, KSP131, RP1). - Any tipp? Thanks! Gustav.
  16. Hi everyone, After blaming bugs in KCT I realized that the training program for Kerbals actually makes sense. Unless you are using the Ke111 cockpit, you cannot select Kerbals who didn't do mission training, and for that you seem to need Proficiency before. Is there anywhere a documentation on the training program? Maybe something should be in the RP0 wiki or is there a better way? https://github.com/KSP-RO/RP-0/wiki/FAQ Thanks a lot in advance! Gustav

  18. I cannot find the new parts in the tech tree. How can you access them? (Playing Career, not missions.) Correction: all working fine. There is such a thing as too many different installs...
  19. Thanks Born, that's helpful. I still have some doubts about the many ignition failures I have (and they are not ullage related), but I'll look further into that. Maybe I am just unlucky. Now I have the problem that I cannot choose kerbals when launching rockets from KCT/VAB. clicking on "fill", "autofill" etc. Doesn't have an effect. Only when selecting "autohire" it works. But then each time a new kerbal is hired. :(. Any ideas? Thanks.
  20. thanks for that. Is there documentation? A formula? - Thanks! Also: Problems with TestFlight I just had three consecutive failures on my AJ10-137 engine. It is not very reliable. (If I read correctly 92% ignition.) But still: Three times in a row seems to be a problem. Any known bugs with Testflight and RP1? - I am rush building my rockets. Is that reducing their quality?

  22. Well. Kopernicus 1.3.1-7 creates even bigger problems for me. Back to -3 it is.
